I must say that I cannot say enough about Derek and his team at this service center. Originally I had some issues with some previous service work and subsequently some more work required to make good an is team at this service center. Originally I had some issues with some previous service work and subsequently some more work required to make good an issue not previously fixed, but after sitting down and having a discussion with Derek about it he saw my point about the inaccuracies and made good on the costs for the repairs. Without a doubt Derek exceeded my expectations and delivered an honest and more than fair deal. As owner of my construction company, I am responsible for the future spending decisions and as a result of how my situation was handled this past week I will be recommending that our company purchase its vehicle replacements from this dealership. I have been waiting for the new 2015 GMC HD 2500 to come on the market to replace my 2007. I look forward to seeing this new truck next time I am at Peterson!! Our project manager requires a new vehicle and we have been considering the new GMC Acadia Denali for him. Thanks Derek, GREAT job!! Service was more then expected, after dealing with other dealerships for service. Repairs were done in a timely manner. I really like the tire storage program the dealership offers. dealerships for service. Repairs were done in a timely manner. I really like the tire storage program the dealership offers. More
I took our car in for an oil change and mentioned that there was an oil leak which I believed was from the drain plug from the last oil change and asked them to look it assuming that removing and replacin there was an oil leak which I believed was from the drain plug from the last oil change and asked them to look it assuming that removing and replacing the drain plug properly was a normal part of an oil change. I was later called and informed that the oil pan gasket and pick up tube gaskets needed to be replaced at a cost of $880 and further that the left front hub bearing needed replacing at a cost of $577. I asked for and received an email of estimate. On review I declined to have any work as the cost seemed excessive and I was not convinced that the work was actually required. I went to pick up the car the next day and was presented with a bill for $91.18 including labour of $74.38, shop materials of $9.67 and envionmental administration of $2.46. This was $36 more than the original oil change was to cost which was not done. Obviously I was not happy as I had not authorized any work and none was done other than look under the vehicle. I could not imagine how that could have required shop materials or environmental charges. I protested the bill. I was informed that as a techician had looked at it, I was required to pay. I did so under protest to retrieve my vehicle and left. This seems like piracy and very poor business practice. When the car was brought around it had greasy hand prints on a few locations around the hood even though no work had been authorized which required anyone to open the hood. This also seems poor business practice. I am not happy. I believe I was taken advantage of. We purchased the vehicle from Petersen's and used to be on very good terms with Al Petersen the previous owner and certainly never expected this treatment from this local business. I am also not done. I will be contacting the President, the Better Business Bureau, the Sherwood Park Chamber of Commerce and GM Canada. More
