trailer brake system I brought my truck in because the "service trailer brake" light kept coming on. After they looked at it for an hour and charged me $200, they said th I brought my truck in because the "service trailer brake" light kept coming on. After they looked at it for an hour and charged me $200, they said they could not find the problem and it would require up to 3 hours more of labor (at $169 per hour) to find the faulty wire. I took my truck home, without getting it fixed, and ended up asking a random mechanic about the issue. In literally 3 minutes he was able to find the issue by looking in his data base (didn't even look at the truck), and tell us where the wire was located and even the color of the wire! I can't believe I was charged $200 ($169 plus "misc shop fees") to have absolutely nothing done - especially when it was such an easy fix (and apparently a very common issue in these trucks). This is the second time I have brought my truck in to Shaganappi and both times and left without a resolution to my issue. I will not be back. More

Went far beyond to help me out. I recently had some truck issues while visiting Calgary and needed them resolved before I could tow our trailer home. Candice (Service Consultant) wa I recently had some truck issues while visiting Calgary and needed them resolved before I could tow our trailer home. Candice (Service Consultant) was able to get me in the same morning I called and went our of her way to make my experience a pleasant one. Bobby, the diesel mechanic came out twice to tell me in person what he found and what he was doing to fix it. He also took the time to give me some good advice about caring for diesel engines when I asked him a couple of questions.. I would certainly go to Shaganappi GM for service and have nothing but admiration for the way they treat their customers, even those who don't live in Calgary. More
Frustrating Experience I was not sure where to go for the 'Express Service' to change my tires over so I asked a mechanic that was walking past me. I then waited until a gentleman indicated that I was to go into the service bay. I sat there for 10 minutes and 4 employees walked past me without acknowledging me in any way. I finally went into the building to confirm I was actually in the correct place. Four people were busy typing on their computers and again did not acknowledge me until I approached the first one. He was busy but asked another gentleman to help me. After a few minutes of looking at my car and typing into his computer, I was told it would be 1 - 1.5 hrs. There was only one other car in the bay. I have been a customer of GM for 5 years now and I have always taken my car to Airdrie. I bought my present car at Shaganappi and thought I would give it a try again. I will return to Airdrie where I am always greeted right away (or at least within a few minutes), I am directed to a comfortable waiting area where I am offered coffee or water, and the service is quick. The three men I talked to at Shaganappi were all very polite. More

Sara was able to book me in within 30 minutes and had the problem d Decided to just "drop by" to see if an indicator light issue could be looked at. Sara was able to book me in within 30 minutes and had the problem diagnosed. I could not leave my vehicle but asked if I could schedule an appointment for the following week. Sara was fantastic: arranged everything for a scheduled drop-off with a rental courtesy car and estimated completion time. When I dropped my vehicle my rental was ready; and when I picked up my vehicle everything was in order and taken care of immediately (in and out in less than 5 minutes). All the staff I dealt with were excellent. More
