For some reason I kept going back for my regular service (they replace the factory service manual with their own with intervals 2.4 times more frequent than the factory recommends). On my last visit I was less than satisfied and I later received a phone call stating that if I filled out the customer satisfaction survey as 100% satisfied they would give me a free oil change. My response was that you earn customer satisfaction not buy it. On my last visit for an oil change to their 'quick lube no appointment necessary' I dropped my truck off at 8:30 am and was told there were three vehicle ahead of mine so it would be a couple of hours, okay fine, I’ll have it back around noon as I rely on my vehicle for my job. Usually they call when it’s done but I waited to the end of the day, no call, so I went to pick it up figuring they must be busy. At the pick up desk I asked if it was done and oddly enough they couldn't find the paperwork. Then the guy finally found something and informed me they hadn't even started it yet so I asked him if they could get on it while I wait. A minute after that, while standing in the service department, I received a call telling me it was done, but in fact it hadn't even gone in yet. I sat in the waiting area until around 5:40 pm when I finally asked if it was done. Even the other customers at the desk at the time were shocked it took a 'quick lube' all day to do a simple oil change. They said they just finished it and would bring it around. When it came time to pay I informed them nicely (other customers witnessed this) I was not going to pay for the service give the aforementioned. The now girl behind the desk (the guy left without even informing me of the status before leaving) went to check with her manager who approached me and told me she can't have customer cursing and swearing and stomping their feet in their building (I must be the only grown man that looks like a child any throw imaginary temper tantrums). I again politely informed her that there was no cursing or swearing or stomping of feet (remember other customers witnessed all of this) and that it would be in their best interest to swallow this cost. I told her I would pay the invoice if she covered my lost time at work which is charged out at $155/hr to which she replied so is theirs (so are you therefore implying that you are going to charge me $155/hr for the eight hours you did nothing to my truck? Wow!) She finally relented and asked if I would like my multi-point inspection sheet as she would mail the invoice to me so I don't have to wait anymore (good deal I'm out of here). I get home and check my inspection form and it is completely blank, nice. I had to check over the truck to see if they actually did the work and to my surprise I found the factory air filter in the trucks from over a year ago when I’ve asked them to change it on at least two occasions (I betting I was charged for it though, I will be checking my records). There is no such thing as customer satisfaction at this dealership. In fact, because of them I have decided never to purchase any GM product in the future (never should have to start with as they are really poorly engineered). I am not brand loyal so it makes no matter to me. I will not return for service and I recommend you stay as far away from this place as possible. Do not buy anything or have anything serviced at this dealer if you can at all avoid it. More
Beware! Will not refund your deposit! First, we phoned about a vehicle. No one got back to us for over an hour. In the meantime, we found a better deal at the CMP dealership. We were going to put a deposit on an '08 Acadia there instead. While waiting for CMP financing to call, a Mark from Shagannapi phoned. We assumed he was from CMP financing as he didn't identify where he was calling from. He took our deposit and when we realized the mistake he and his two managers gave us the run around. That was September 24th. It is now October 15! Many, many phone calls later and we are still trying to get our deposit back! We are from out of province, so going there and banging on the door isn't so option so we phoned VISA to see if they could intervene.... apparently not. My advice, BE WARE OF GIVING SHAGANNAPI ANY SORT OF DEPOSIT - THEY WONT GIVE IT BACK!!! More
Thieves I took my Mercedes in to fixed being a accident. When I got it back they switched my brand new battery for one that doesn't work. They switched my Mercedes windshield wipers for cheap no name ones. Scuffed the door and broke the hatch back. When we called about wipers and batter all they said was "prove it". One of there employees stole these items to obviously make a money. It will now cost us $200 for the wipers they switched out for cheap $15 canadian tire ones. Also cost $427.88 to replace the battery. I wouldn't even rate them 1star More
Don't use this dealership. I took my truck to the service department to get service work done. I was told it would be done at the end of the day. Three days later they still had I took my truck to the service department to get service work done. I was told it would be done at the end of the day. Three days later they still had not finished the work. Whenever I bring my truck in they always find parts that need to be replaced so the bill is up over a thousand dollars. When I complained to the service rep about them keeping my vehicle for so long he told my I needed to talk to the service manager. The manager got abusive with me and told me I needed to come and get my vehicle and they would not do any work for me. I said I would do that but before I left I was going to speak to the manager of the dealership and let him know how the customers were being treated by the service staff. Instant change in attitude from the service manager along with an apology. I let them finish the work but I sold my avalanche and bought a dodge ram instead. I spoke with the manager of this dealership and he claimed not to know what the service department was doing. What a bunch of clowns. I love my new dodge. More

Our Sales Consultant Clark Petrick was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and had a non-pressure sales approach. Clark answered all of our questions and then we took a truck for a test-drive. My husband was immediately impressed by the features of the GMC Sierra 1500 and wanted to know the financial details and options. We were then introduced to Jim Findlay, who is one of the Sales Managers. We wanted very specific options and a certain colour and we quickly realized that our truck was not going to be found in Calgary. Jim was very generous with his time and always made us feel welcome to come to his office or contact him by phone or email. During the next couple of days we met with Jim and spoke with him several times over the phone. We did not think we were going to find our truck, but we met with Jim one last time. After a very thorough search, Jim found our truck in northern Alberta! We had to wait 2 weeks for delivery, but it was worth it. Clark and Jim both made it very clear that their priority was to find the truck that met all of our specifications and that we should not settle for anything less. We were very pleasantly surprised by our buying experience and that was due to the high level of service we received from Clark and Jim. We are very happy to be a member of the Shaganappi GM family and we recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a Chevrolet or GMC product. More
Have 2 vehicles that are serviced here regularly . Service staff are knowledgeable, informative and friendly. Always deliver as promised or explain as they go along. Amazing experience from start to finish. I came in looking for a bigger car as I had a baby on the way and only 3 seats for 4 kids. I am very indecisive and Luca took me through two vehicles that I love ( even parking it underground at the mall to see the height and how it fit my lifestyle...lol). He also drove me to the house to show my husband as he was home with our new baby! What great people they have there! I love my new car. Would recommend them to anyone! More
Purchased a new Camaro from this dealership. on three separate occasions have had extremely poor service and quality of work....twiice requiring re-work for simple items. So bad that I have moved both my daughter's camaro and my Chev Avalanche over to GSL for all service. Requested an offical GM review link to post a complaint but that was subsequnetly refused as they do not tolerate negative comments. Contacted GM to escalate the isse and was unable to actually connect with anybody interested in the issues. More
Shaganappi Chevrolet Calgary like most dealers schedule an appointment quickly, have you bring the vehicle in and have no intention of completing the work in the time stated. The continue with excuse as to why the service is not done...we have to order the part, we don't have a machine to do that, the tech is just finishing up, a part broke while repairing the...etc.......excuse after excuse. They also mention that they are in the top 2% of Dealers in N.A. and have won the Jack Smith award. I contacted GM of Canada and they have never heard of such an award.......hmmm If this is the top 2% ......what is the 98% of the dealers like!! More
