Update: After 2 hours on the phone with GMC Canada I felt like I had no option but return to Shag GMC. Since I had already invested in the diagnosis of my Transmission issue, I didn't want to lose another $135 Diagnosis fee at another dealership. Cindy, at GMC Canada phoned the dealership and negotiated a definite appointment with the service manager. It took another 2 weeks, but the truck is fixed. I will NEVER go back to Shag GMC. Here is how this dealership is underhanded and unethical in everything they do: When I picked up the truck, I was told that GMC Canada would be sending me a survey of my service. I was implored to rate the dealership as “Completely Satisfied” with all aspects of the service experience. I was then told that my name would be added to a “draw” for a $500 gift card to a local mall. When I asked for clarity, because I had not received excellent service, I was told that, my name would ONLY be added to the draw if I rated the service as “Completely Satisfied”. Any other rating would not enter my name in the draw. This dealership is so deceitful and dishonest that they are even trying to “game” the system that GMC Canada uses to determine actual customer experiences. Please, Please, Stay Away from this horrid dealership! You have been warned.

The Squeaky Wheel gets the Grease. Thanks to Dealerrater for getting the dealers attention. Rob Miller the Service Manager contacted me and arranged to have my vehicle repaired at no cost to me.
