Dreams Really Do Come True I have nothing but positive things to say about Scott Subaru. In the last 2 years my boyfriend and I have both gone into non Subaru dealerships to I have nothing but positive things to say about Scott Subaru. In the last 2 years my boyfriend and I have both gone into non Subaru dealerships to look at vehicles, only to find ourselves cornered by high pressure sale tactics. This was NOT the case with Scott Subaru, from the minute we walked in, it felt like a breathe of fresh air. Ryan King, who was already aware of what we were looking for, greeted us, offered us something to drink and we were test driving my dream car (Crosstrek) within a matter of minutes. During the test drive Ryan was able to answer any questions we had and also provided us with some of his own Crosstrek experiences. After the test drive we met with Carmen who walked us through the financing options and warranty packages while maintaining true transparency. She explained all the warranties, why they would be valuable, but never once made us feel obligated to say yes to anything. Once financing was complete, Ryan made sure we knew how the vehicle worked, from how to open the gas tank, to connecting Android Auto. I was referred by my Brother who purchased a vehicle from Scott Subaru and had great things to say about them. So just recently we purchased our Outback and had the most enjoyable experience purchasing this vehicle. Clay Grenier and Carmen Dufresne went the extra mile to listen to all of the questions I had for them and answered them. The presentation of picking up our vehicle and explaining every detail was very impressive. They know there product. They do treat you like you are part of the family. After the initial purchase, we experienced sub-par service from Frontier’s service department and faced challenges with them honoring our vehicle’s warranty. When it came time to purchase our next car, I knew I wanted to buy a Subaru as I love the vehicles, but was hesitant to do so through Frontier based on my previous experiences. Realizing that I did not have much choice in Winnipeg, I went ahead with the purchase. From the initial interaction with the sales team at Frontier, there were several instances in which they were not forthcoming with information and where the trust was broken. After much deliberation, I decided to return the vehicle and look elsewhere to buy my new car. After some research, I reached out to Scott Subaru in Red Deer, Alberta as they had the Impreza I was looking for in stock. Ryan King answered the phone and from that moment forward, the experience dealing with Subaru changed drastically for the better. I was admittedly anxious from the experience I had with my local dealership. Ryan was able to answer all of my questions. He made sure that every detail of our purchase was organized and taken care of prior to having me fly out to pick up the car. He offered to pick us up from the airport, and although we arrived on an early morning flight into Edmonton, he was there waiting to drive us back to Red Deer (one hour each way). After we signed the papers with Carmen in finance, Ryan spent time walking us through all of the features of the car and made the purchasing experience exciting and pleasant. Ryan’s knowledge of the product he sells is impressive and his demeanor and inter-personal skills made the whole exchange truly enjoyable. He even recommended a couple of places to eat in Red Deer which we followed and enjoyed a delicious Vietnamese meal once we left. In addition to Ryan, Carmen Dufresne is fantastic at her job. There were a number of things to navigate in purchasing an out-of-province vehicle. Our insurance and taxation laws are different and there were considerations we had not thought of. Even before we left Winnipeg, Carmen was in contact with our local insurance company to make sure that everything was in place and that we would not have any unexpected delays. Carmen was incredibly helpful and thorough and ensured we were completely taken care of. I have been a fan of Subaru vehicles for a long time and have shared my admiration for the brand to anybody who would listen. The one area where I have felt Subaru has been lacking has been in customer service after the sale. Scott Subaru has completely changed my mind of what I think of Subaru Dealerships. The service we received from Ryan and Carmen has ensured that we will buy our Subaru’s from Scott Subaru moving forward. Thank you for turning around a very stressful situation for us. The salesman this time, Clay Grenier, not only sold me a car, he found a purchaser for my old one! He was quick to respond to the many questions that I forgot to ask while I was at the dealership & kept me informed as to the progress of the sale since the vehicle had to be ordered in. They were sympathetic to my desire not to pick up the vehicle before winter driving season was over & no one tried to sell me a bunch of unwanted add ons. Carmen even had a record of my previous purchase history so knew exactly what finishing treatments I would want. More
