Terrible experience, I bought a used 2017 ram 1500 that I was told it was certified and went through all inspections and that everything was in "Brand New" condition. That was a lie. Within the first couple was told it was certified and went through all inspections and that everything was in "Brand New" condition. That was a lie. Within the first couple of days of me having the vehicle I noticed a start problem, so I took it back because I had warranty, they kept my truck for multiple days and left me with nothing to drive and when I asked what they did, they said they only went out and started it every couple hours, and they expected me to pay for them having my vehicle there while they did nothing. So not only did I not have a vehicle I was paying for, but they did absolutely nothing. I was also told there was nothing they can do for me. When I asked what they would do if the problem continued, they said they would take care of it. The problem continued, and they did nothing. After I finally got my vehicle back, I decided to have a look myself and noticed multiple spots where there was old oil sludge on parts everywhere, which I would later learn that it was because the engine oil cooler was leaking. Not only was there oil there was also a transmission seal leaking. Well now tell me how they are a certified dealership and selling used vehicles in this state? Not only did I have those problems but also when I got my truck and was told it was going to be detailed, it was not, the box of the truck had garbage left in it from the previous owner and thick layers of dirt all over the bed liner. The cab of the truck was also disgusting, there was brown handprints all over the handles and a mysterious sludge substance on the back window and walls. When I brought it back and asked them to clean it, nothing happened when I got my truck back, I had to go straight to a car wash and do it myself. Now for being a "Certified" dealership that's very sad to be calling themselves that and be happy with how they hand out their vehicles. Now for the entertaining part, back to the start problem, when I was told there was nothing they could do because they "had no idea without a code" I decided to talk to some mechanics that I know, and they all told me that, that would be happening because of a bad fuel pump. Hmm, weird right, how would a certified vehicle that passed all inspections to be resold, have a bad fuel pump? Well, the simple answer is they didn't check anything, and the easy proof is they couldn't even do the simple task of cleaning the vehicle before it being sold. When I finally brought my truck back to get that problem fixed, I was told that my warranty was up and they could not help me unless I was going to pay, hmm, well I brought it in within the timeframe of the warranty to get the problem fixed once and was told that they don't know and can't fix it. So now that the option of me paying is on the table they were more then willing to look at my truck and try to fix the problem. Now to me that sounds like they didn't do anything the first time I brought it in with the knowledge that my warranty would be up and they decided to wait until my warranty was up to fix it. When I spoke with the service manager, he was nothing but rude about the situation saying that I should have brought it in within the warranty time, funny thing is I did. He continued to be very rude and never make eye contact and be on his computer while having this conversation (unprofessional). When my brother asked if they did any test on the fuel pump of the truck because at this point, we knew it was bad, the service manager rudely told him to leave the room. So now when faced with people that know stuff about vehicles and asked questions about what they looked at, instead of handling the situation professionally he was very rude and told people to leave the room. And now for the really good part, after being treated like trash from this dealership that claims to be the "Number 1 dealership in Canada" said from the service manager. I took my truck somewhere else to get the fixes it needed, and they fixed it all within 4 hours and the truck runs better than it did the day it was bought. So now if it runs better than the day, I bought it that would make you think wow maybe the truck had these problems before he bought it. From having it for less than a week, having found all these problems, yes I would agree with you. I brought my truck in multiple times and every time they did nothing, besides the one time I brought it in for the transmission and oil leak and they WD-40 the door. Yea I'm also confused about that one. Needless to say, I will never be stepping foot on SMP again after how poorly I was treated by the service manager, and I strongly suggest you don't either, they didn't even take the time to detail the vehicle before selling it. And from my experience they also don't do their checks. Unless you want to be taking your vehicle to another mechanic to get it running the way it should, I strongly suggest staying far away from this place. Terrible experience, they only want to sell the vehicle and do not care about how the vehicle runs or anything else. For being a “certified” dealership, they should have no right to call themselves that and should quit selling vehicles. More
The worst experience ever! If we didn’t know the previous owner of the vehicle we were purchasing we would never have dealt with this dealership!! Vehicle was to be detailed before we were in to pick it up b owner of the vehicle we were purchasing we would never have dealt with this dealership!! Vehicle was to be detailed before we were in to pick it up but it was filthy the Salesman didn’t even notice it when he brought the vehicle out! They re-cleaned it or so they said cleaned it but there was chips and dirt still in the vehicle! Made us feel like peasants because we didn’t finance the vehicle instead we wrote a personal Cheque. We will NEVER deal with this Dealership again!! We would never recommend anyone to deal at this Dealership!! More
