Best service I have ever received!! Wow! I took my car to Saskatoon Motor Products for an oil change and to repair my tire and I couldn’t have left happier with the service I received! F Wow! I took my car to Saskatoon Motor Products for an oil change and to repair my tire and I couldn’t have left happier with the service I received! From the moment I stepped out of my car I was greeted by a happy man who made sure I was taken care of immediately. Multiple people approached me to make sure I had been taken care of instantly. I was actually early for my appointment and there was a man ahead of me whose appointment was scheduled after me and because of making me wait they gave me a free travel mug! I literally had to wait two minutes, if that, and was not upset about it at all but it was such a nice gesture for them to go out of their way to make sure I was happy from the beginning! I have recently become a coffee drinker so I am so excited about my new mug! From there, everyone I had to deal with was amazing; everyone in the shop, the guys that drove me around in the shuttle, and the cashiers that took my payment! Every person was so friendly and helpful! Everywhere I went someone made sure I was attended to promptly if the individual that was supposed to help me was busy upon my arrival. I have never been to a place where every single person had a positive attitude and made me feel special. Not only was everyone absolutely wonderful but they also provided speedy service! They made sure my car was dealt with and back to me in less than two hours. Thank you to everyone at SMP for the awesome service!! Keep up the excellent work, I will certainly recommend and I will definitely be back!! More

Disappointing Service Again I took my car in to be serviced being told it would be ready after a few hours of work. Living out of town and working later that day, I made arrangem I took my car in to be serviced being told it would be ready after a few hours of work. Living out of town and working later that day, I made arrangements around this schedule. Once at the service counter, I am told it may not be ready today and I have an option to pay for a rental. I was also sold a unit used for test driving. After getting my first flat tire, we realized we never got the socket to get the lug nuts off of the tire. SMP gave me the option of paying for a new one or they could switch all the lug nuts to standard ones then charge me for that instead. Constantly disappointing experience with this service department. More
Another "Mislead" Service Visit We took our Chev Equinox in for some recall work and mentioned that the air-conditioning quite working and asked if it would still be under warranty. Like a previous post we were told they would look into it and "No work would be done without being authorized”. To our surprise we had a bill for a diagnostic charge and paid at as we received the diagnostic of (a leak in the condenser caused by a rock) and went on our way to get the work done at another place that charges us half the quoted SMP price. It turns out that the problem was a manufacturing defect in the condenser not caused by a rock. I went back to get a refund on the incorrect diagnostic and felt like I wasn’t listened to by the service Manager. I was offered a gift card to the service department that I will never visit again. I appreciate the sales team at SMP (Ben McCrea is awesome!) as I have been treated great by them and have bought a Silverado, Equinox and Cruze there in the last five years. Unfortunately they lost a loyal customer as I will not be returning to SMP and have moved my business and recommendations elsewhere. More
took 2 days to do an oil change? I booked my service appointment about a week and half ago by phone. When arriving there early in the morning, in the service lot, drive thru, or wha I booked my service appointment about a week and half ago by phone. When arriving there early in the morning, in the service lot, drive thru, or what ever you call it, the attendant couldn't find my name on the appointment list? then to top it off, the attendant had to find the next available service adviser to see if anything was indicated about my appointment date. i gave the adviser my plate number and nothing was recorded on about my schedule service. So i thought to myself "then who the xxxx i was talking to on the phone?" The service adviser over the phone (can't remember his name, as he sounds like a young gentleman) gave me a quote about services and i mentioned that my vehicle will be there between 7:30 and 8:00am in which I arrived. Whats worse, is that another service adviser had to redo the paper work to get this service started so I left and then by 4pm I had to phone them back to see whats taking so long just to be informed that the vehicle hasn't been looked at yet? So i was informed a couple options is to leave the vehicle in the shop overnight or bring the vehicle back in the morning which I choose to bring the vehicle back the next morning. The next day before noon, i received a call from the same adviser (think his name is matt or matty) asking when i'm dropping my vehicle off? at that point, I was really frustrated that I informed him I already drop my vehicle off early this morning to one of the lot attendants. so the adviser apologized and indicated will work on it right away. i felt really annoyed that i requested to speak to the service manager which I was given a name and number so i called and left a voice mail to have the manager call back in which he didn't. I don't know if this person was very busy all the time or he just simply delete my voice message. whats interesting is that i never received a survey from SMP which i normally do after my service (usually a day later). They (SMP) probably thought I would give them a bad review which they're correct!! Overall my experience wasn't great at all. How can an organization cannot locate my appointment schedule and then it takes them 2 days to service my vehicle? To me this is not appropriate business practice. There is a reason why we have computers and voice mail services in the business world to provide quality customer service......... More

When they called to say it was ready they said it would cost more. When I mentioned they'd quoted a lower price, they said they would take care of it. But when picking it up, it still wasn't right. They said they wouldnt know how much shop charges were until it was done. But they sure could have mentioned there would be additional shop charges then plus tax. They had plenty of opportunity to do so. Instead, The final bill was a surprise. More

I was very nervous and stressed at the prospect of purchasing a replacement vehicle. My daughter highly recommended I give Dan Barrett a call at SMP - she recently purchased an Equinox from Dan and highly praised him for his expertise and professionalism. I soon learned this was very good advice and am so very glad that I made that call! Dan quickly put me at ease with his friendly and courteous manner and went above and beyond just providing me with good customer service - I received excellent customer service - way beyond my expectations! He made me feel that I was number one and it was important to him to help me find the best vehicle based on my needs and desires. Not only was the customer service outstanding but I got an amazing deal. Rob Bryant continued my amazing customer experience by handling the dealer financing with the same outstanding service I received from Dan. My recommendation - give Dan and his team a call if you want a truly customer oriented buying experience! More
