Brought my vehicle in for a leaking pinion seal in the differential. They had replaced this seal a year ago when they replaced my entire diff due to a previous warranty claim. They visually inspected the diff and agreed their words “the seal is seeping”, but not enough to be a warranty issue??. They then presented me with the repair estimate to replace the pinion seal ( $840.09)? I refused the repair and continued to questioned why my warranty was not being honoured considering the diff was still covered under a 3 year warranty until 19 May 25. The response was GM does not cover seeping under warranty however they would replace the seal for $840.09? My response was, your willing to provide me with a repair cost obviously noting this is an issue yet you won’t honour the warranty? Before I could leave just to add a little more insult to injury they charged me $112.70 for doing nothing except lifting the car and visually observing the seeping which took a total of under 5 minutes. Very very unscrupulous business practices here. I seriously do not recommend serving your vehicle at this dealership. More
Attempted theft of our vehicle while. it was in THEIR possession. This was entirely preventable, Shawn Garrett refused to pay deductible on resulting insurance claim, didn't think it was it was in THEIR possession. Offered to pay half of the deductible when pressed, thinking this was a good deal.Spent $7000+ on repairs, couldn't pay the whole deductible xxx. Keep your money, Ron Hodgson. More
Good Day All, I just wanted to send a quick thank you to Vanessa and the staff in service. Had an issue with my truck tire and Venessa was able to get it fixed quickly even though the service department was Vanessa and the staff in service. Wish I could give a 0 star, such an awful experience. I’ll list out the points that lead to this review: - false advertising - website/adds did not match the dollar figure that was presented to us on th I’ll list out the points that lead to this review: - false advertising - website/adds did not match the dollar figure that was presented to us on the table. - we then found out that their previous customer (where the deal fell through on this unit, which they sold them a different unit) had requested them to put on an additional $11,000 in add ons. None of this was mentioned to us prior to showing up at the dealership - we live 2.5-3 hours away from the dealership, we were having discussions all day about the pricing, price matching, preferred pricing agreements, and we were very clear about not wanting to waste our time going out of our way/changing plans, etc. Why was none of the extra charges made known to us ahead of time? - potential for fraudulent charges - it was mentioned that the customer was charged for the additions on his deal. So, it he was charged, why are they trying to charge us for something that’s already been billed out? - sales manager got extremely agitated and defensive when we mentioned that there are false advertising laws in Canada. - sales manager threatened to revoke the already agreed upon preferred pricing and hero’s discount in retaliation to the above comment - we offered to potentially pay the dealerships dead cost for all the extras that were put on the vehicle as it was not requested by us, nor wanted by us. His response was that they can’t do that because “We are in the business of making money.” We’ll never be stepping foot in this dealership again. I hope that review helps other customer of what to be aware of PRIOR to making a deal with them. The deal fell through, but finance gentleman we dealt with there was high quality. Great guy, very personable, wanted to help and look after the customer. Next time, be honest and upfront with your customers. Don’t hide things, don’t try and sneak things under our noses, advertise correctly, look after your customer. Horrible experience More
We decided to venture out Saturday to look at new vehicles in St Albert, our first stop was St Albert Ford. Buying a new vehicle is a big deal, we were looking at 60+K and I found this both overwhelm vehicles in St Albert, our first stop was St Albert Ford. Buying a new vehicle is a big deal, we were looking at 60+K and I found this both overwhelming and stressful. From the moment we walked in , It was uncomfortable, and no one really seemed happy. Once greeted, the pressure was on. The salesmen kept asking "If XXX do we have a deal today", "If I can do this do we have a deal today, I want your business". Long story short, once getting numbers the pressure to sign now was on, and my husband and I were not even given a minute to discuss things - I suggested he and I go for coffee, as this is a big expense and we needed to discuss things privately. The salesmen suggested we take said truck to have coffee, so feeling pressured- we did. After spending 2-3 hours there, I was relieved to be out of there and breathe. McDonald's is right beside Ron Hodgson, my husband said "let's go have a look, my dad always has good things to say about them". From the second we walked in, it was a relaxed and comfortable environment, with employees smiling and not circling like vultures waiting for their next prey as in our previous experience. Ethan, with a HUGE smile, walked by and said "If there is anything I can help you with, let me know", after our previous experience; I had my game face on, knew what I wanted, and was straight to the point ( sorry Ethan, I expected the same pressure 😉). Ethan had my truck of interest pulled up for a test drive within 10 minutes, and off went. Now I have to credit Ethan a lot here, after driving a minivan for 9 years, I felt like I was driving a Ferrari, I know my husband looked concerned as I accelerated and LOVED the sound of that engine and I may or have may not have gone a little above the speed limit, while vocalizing my excitement.. Ethan was a champ and laughed and joked away with me, thank you! Once back, I knew I wanted that truck, and Ethan was quick to get my numbers to James the Sales Manager, and James was prompt to bring them back out. Let's talk James, he greeted us with a laid-back, no-pressure persona. He sat with us, I had my million and one questions (thank you for your patience), and not once did James seem inconvenienced. Once the numbers were given and everything was explained, James said he would give us time to talk. After having time to chat, and our overall experiences, this was a YES. I have to emphasize the experience is what really sold us. We got a better trade-in amount and the interest rate was significantly lower. The staff overall: Every salesman we saw, had genuine smiles, they seemed happy and It provided an inviting environment. The best for last: Sorry guys, as amazing as you were nothing tops Mike in finance, and laughs we had!! As my husband and I sat in the evening reflecting on our day, and experience he said "With our experience today, I'll be buying my next vehicle from them". I took my car for an oil change express lane at 3:30 and was told it would be an hour and a half wait, if not longer because there were 3 cars in line in front of me.. I’ve had many issues with the service was told it would be an hour and a half wait, if not longer because there were 3 cars in line in front of me.. I’ve had many issues with the service department at this dealership over the years but decided to give them a chance again because of their convenient location. Big mistake. Avoid this dealership and their poorly run service department at all costs. More
Was in last night to look at a new truck, told the sales guy and the manager I would call in the morning to pay my deposit. I recently bought a new 2022 tahoe. Drove it off the lot and there was a vibration when driving fast. Called the dealership and they said bring it in. They balanced the tires and it still had the vibration. I took it back and they balanced the tires again, still did not fix the vibration. I took it back and said the vehicle is still shaking when it is driven at highway speeds. They said they did a road force test and tires were all within spec so can’t be a vibration. I take the mechanic out for a drive, he feels the vibration. Looks into into it and he informed me the test was never completed. I was lied to by Andrew in service. I eventually get the road force test done and one tire is out of spec (explaining the vibration). Andrew says it’s not covered even tho it’s been in 4 times, first of which was 4 days after buying brand new vehicle. Tires only have 2,000 km on them. Very unhappy with the service department and how they have treated me. Will tell everyone I know to never use this dealership. More
