Best and easiest dealership I have ever gone to! I don't normally write reviews but feel as I got more than a fair deal! I was greeted immediately by Candace, she is new to car sales, but very friendly. I was shown a few different vehicles and landed on a Jeep Cherokee. Going through the numbers took a little longer then a liked but hey my salesperson was new. Samantha L went through all her paperwork very thoroughly and even gave me a whole folder to take home. two days later I was able to pick up my new Cherokee- first new vehicle I've ever bought! They had hats and a travel mug for me which was nice, my first service is booked, I took my picture and I was off! Samantha and Candace called me the next day to make sure I was still happy and to see if I had any more questions- I forgot how to play my music playlist through the Cherokee so that was very helpful. All in all, awesome experience! Keep it up girls! More

The days leading up to the sales manager and sales rep would call me non stop . After the papers were signed could not get a hold of anybody would not return my calls or emails . I had to call them 3 times before anybody would be available . Sales manager is very unprofessional and rude . Also to add on my buying experience I went to pick up the truck . After getting there they lost the spare key for my brand new truck and said it would be mailed along side with my owner ship. Now has been 2 weeks and received nothing from them . I am never the one to write reviews about anything but seeing that my experience was brutal I would never recommend this dealer to anybody . It was by far the worst experience ever and on purchasing a 60,000$ truck I have never been treated so poorly . And make sure if the dealer agrees on a buyout for your vehicle , be sure to stay on top of that . It's been 2 weeks and my bank has yet to see they lien pay out from this dealer . Very poor organization More

It first started with a couple of emails for which there was no response. Then I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop in on the Sales Manager Samantha L. and find out why I received no response to my inquiry of purchasing a new Truck. I made eye contact with her as she sat in her office discussing non business topics with an associate. She could see me yet continued with their personal conversation and I waited 30 minutes then left. In fact, I could hear them clearly and one of them even used profanity while conversing and giggling. The next day I called her and asked if she received my emails. She said yes and meant to call me today. It took forever to get the paperwork put together (a week or more to my recollection). I kept emailing to find out the status and at times had to email again the next day ect...A big run around. Samantha L. does not care about her clientele, in fact you will often see them having a smoke on the side of the building where people enter. We were also going to purchase two vehicles that day, however I could not bring myself to go through that again. Very unprofessional and you could feel that she didn't care. Now, let me say this about the service department, the best I have ever seen. The sales department could learn a few things from their service department. The Service dept. work as a team and they care about their customers and it shows. So, we have our truck serviced in Renfrew and will purchase elsewhere. Sad but true. More

And dealers complain that no one trusts them? Really? I contacted Renfrew Chrysler via web form for a used 2014 Civic and received a call back from Samantha B the next day. Everything sounded great over I contacted Renfrew Chrysler via web form for a used 2014 Civic and received a call back from Samantha B the next day. Everything sounded great over the phone, so we agree to head out the next day. We arrived at the dealership at 10am and were greeted and brought to Sam B. We went through all the normal stuff, and we were first shown a car (2013 Chevy Cruze) that we didn't express interest in, but it did meet our desires. I was still interested in seeing the car we originally came to see, but it took a bit to convince them that we would like to see it. Finally, we test drove it, and my wife an I loved it, so we decided to buy it. We negotiated literally for about 3 hours while the dealer played the typical games. This was all normal stuff, so no problems yet. We finally agree on a price, and we head back to the Sales manager, Samantha L. Sam L does up all the paperwork, and we were stunned by a $1044 admin fee, $50 for gas, $100 lien registration fee, and a $5 OMVIC fee. I questioned the Admin fee as they are usually just a money grab, and this one was exceptionally high. Sam L said that there was nothing that they could do about it. After some deliberation, we proceeded with the sale and left mostly happy. When I got home, I did some research and found out that all 4 of these fees were illegal! Well, not illegal, but how they charged them they were. OMVIC is an automobile consumer protection agency, and on their site, they outline what's called the "All-In Pricing Law" (yes...that's LAW). It essentially states that these fees are not illegal, but they cannot be added on top of an advertised price. Renfrew Chrysler added nearly $1200 in fees to their advertised price on this vehicle and the disclaimer on their own website said these fees were INCLUDED (I kept several screenshots). The dealer was closed by the time I found this out, but I have a friend who works in car sales, so I explained the situation and he indicated that is absolutely was illegal and said that I don't own that car until I drive it off the lot (this is important - more to follow). Monday morning, I first contacted OMVIC to confirm everything before I approached the dealer. They confirmed everything as my friend said, and recommended that I call the dealer to cancel the contract. So, I did that. I explained to Sam L that I'd like to cancel the contract because I was not comfortable with the purchase. Sam L instantly got rude with me and said that it was a signed contract and it was a done deal and that I had bought a car no matter what. I explained what OMVIC and my friend said, and she said that this isn't the way their dealership worked and I was wrong. I explained that I contacted OMVIC and they confirmed. She rudely proclaimed that I should "go ahead and call OMVIC to open a complaint because they had done nothing wrong". So, I called OMVIC, who advised me to ask one last time to cancel the contract. Instead of calling the dealer back, I emailed Sam L and the General Manager to highlight the facts. I gave them 2 hours to confirm in writing that the contract would be voided and that my deposit would be refunded. About 45 minutes later, Sam L called me back and was very, very cheery (this was a 180 degree flip from our earlier call). She explained how she just wanted to make me a happy customer and what they would do for me to get me to drive away with a smile on my face. She said she spoke with the General manager and they "offered" to remove the Admin fee and the $50 gas fee, to which I replied "that they were willing to remove the fees which they illegally charged me" . What a great offer! I explained once again that I was not interested in purchasing from an untrustworthy dealer and I'd like to cancel the contract and get my deposit back. Sam L continued to try and close the deal by asking me what it would take to make the sale and that it was an honest mistake that anyone could have made. I made a ridiculous counter offer, and she said that she couldn't do that. I said that it looks like we're not going to be able to make a deal then, are we? She replied with silence. I asked her to confirm that the contract would be voided and my deposit would be returned. Again, silence. I repeated the same thing more sternly, and she quietly said "yes". I said thank you, and I look forward to the email confirming this. I hung up the phone. 15 minutes after the agreed time passed, I sent a sternly written email providing them 15 more minutes before I called OMVIC to open a case. I received an email in all capitals indicating that it would be voided when I got my deposit back. I wanted something that specifically said that the contract will be voided and I will be returned my deposit. That email came a few minutes later. I returned to the dealer that night, and received my deposit back, along with a copy of the voided contract. This was the last I heard from them. I highly, highly advise not to purchase from this dishonest dealer. I thought that buying from a reputable, name brand dealer would spare me these sorts of "shady dealer" type troubles, but this was a huge lesson I learnt. I purchased a brand new car from my friend the very next day and am thrilled with the car. For specific details on the law, check out the OMVIC website and look for the All-In Pricing law. It's very prominent and well explained. Good luck! More
