We purchased a 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid from Race Toyota. We have been Toyota people for years. Our friends gave us a card from Race Toyota that they highly recommended. We called the dealership and spoke with Brian Moulder, who we found out later was the owners. He spent a long time with us working out various scenarios for us, all the time not knowing if we were shopping or purchasing. We felt completely comfortable with him and felt that he was not pushing us into anything. We called numerous times and he took the time to talk to us in his busy schedule. We have never experienced a sales person who worked as much as he did, finding the best fit for us. The whole team at Race Toyota went out of their way during the purchase and after. I have been extremely satisfied with the professional, meticulous attention to detail in the after sales service of my tundra. The reception has been more than accommodating in setting up appointments, along with the knowledgeable advice of the service manager, parts dept, and the technicians who performed the work. My last visit consisted of the tech performing a mundane oil change, to my request of a full on engine modification, which was completed in the exact time frame, estimate, and most importantly, to my standards. The tech explained the full procedure, and took the time to answer my questions, and to point out any pertinent features and operational requirements. Race Toyota custom built my truck after I took delivery, to my complete satisfaction. They have followed up with expert, professional, courteous service. We are disappointed with the handling of of our vehicle repair and the lack of communication for it. At the last appointment the technician recommended that we get the brakes redone on the Prius under war repair and the lack of communication for it. At the last appointment the technician recommended that we get the brakes redone on the Prius under warranty due to warping. We made an appointment and agreed to warranty work, but there was never an estimate made for other costs that were to be charged, nor was there any contact to us to approve the extra costs that were on the invoice when the vehicle was picked up. The warranty work cost us about $700. As far as I can tell this does not follow the Ontario Consumer Protection guidelines for automotive repairs. When I attempted to leave a comment for Race on their website it would not allow me to leave a comment. Update: 2 days later Toyota Canada sent me a review for the service performed. I made much the same comments as listed here, but the survey will not save. So my comments to Toyota about the incident will not be reviewed. Next update: Toyota let me submit the review about the service performed. More

Awesome Dealership I have been bringing my Toyota Sequoia to Race Toyota in the past year for service. Each time I have been treated with dignity, respect and honesty. I have been bringing my Toyota Sequoia to Race Toyota in the past year for service. Each time I have been treated with dignity, respect and honesty. I have even been provided a free loaner car when my vehicle was in for a major service. Never have I been surprised by the bill, it was always exactly as quoted. It really helps that Toyota is an awesome product to begin with. Recently, I arrived at the dealership just before closing because my vehicle was making strange noises. I didn't expect them to drop what they were doing to look at it, just to make an appointment to get it looked after and repaired. I was blown away when Jeff gave me his business card with his personal cell number hand written on it and he said "If you have a problem or break down before your appointment, call me anytime, day or night and I will help you" That is what service is about!! I left a message stating I would be calling Whitby Toyota instead. They cannot take the time to take the call, and I will not now give them the time of day for my business. "Hello Whitby Toyota. I have a vehicle needing an oil change. Could I bring it in tomorrow? Oh you are all booked up but will fit it into the schedule. Yes I will be glad to bring it in." Thank you Whitby Toyota Service.
