My car broke down on Highway #1 and it was towed to the dealership. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. We had to pick up someone from the cancer clinic and they had the courtesy driver go and get her dealership. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. We had to pick up someone from the cancer clinic and they had the courtesy driver go and get her and bring us back to the garage and they were so fast and helpful the car was done in a very short time and we were on our way back home. I can’t thank them enough and the service was beyond satisfactory it was amazing and when you are in a difficult situation as we were and someone is that kind and helpful it makes the difference in your whole day and then some. thanks again to all the wonderful people there More

Jim Teskey was a great salesman. He took time to explain the features of my new vehicle and followed up after a few days to be sure I liked it. Loving my new ride. He took time to explain the features of my new vehicle and followed up after a few days to be sure I liked it. Loving my new ride. More
An email sent to the GM of this RMP dealership for which I have not recieved a response. I also sent attachments with both the service check and work order. Good Day Mr. Shaw I had my 2018 Equinox in I have not recieved a response. I also sent attachments with both the service check and work order. Good Day Mr. Shaw I had my 2018 Equinox in yesterday May 9th, 2022 for an inspection to make sure everything was running well and to find out what was causing a squeaking sound under my vehicle. I called the service manager (Andy) around 1:27 to find out the status of my vehicle. He mentioned that the squeaking sound was coming from the brakes and that there was a wedge on the brake pad and that it was recommended that they be replaced. I was also told that the "wrong" brake pads had been installed. I told him that my breaks had never been replaced and he once again said the wrong ones were installed. I repeated that the breaks have never been replaced and that they were the manufactured breaks from when I purchased the vehicle. Suddenly the story changed to that it can also happen from just regular wear and said he could send pictures(?). I asked how much it would cost and told him that "if they need to be replaced then they need to be replaced. I don't want to be driving and have my breaks fail". He said ok, we will get that done. After I paid for the services I returned to my vehicle to find the Certified Service Inspection sheet on my dashboard (see attached) and saw on the brake inspection that all my breaks were checked off as GOOD. I went back inside to talk to Andy to ask him why, if my brakes were all good, was I told they needed to be replaced. He went to get my brake pad and another to compare it to. He showed me a thin wedge on the edge of my brake pad and that was what was causing the squeaking. He also told me that there was actually nothing wrong with the break pad itself but the wedge was causing the squeaking sound. The squeaking sound was not an annoyance to me. I could only hear it when driving slowly with my window down at a drive thru. I wanted it inpected in case it waa something serious, which it is clearly not. I am not impressed that this is a practice RMP would follow. It was clear that I DID NOT require new breaks for the safety of my vehicle. If I had been given the true facts that my breaks were fine, but if I wanted to have the sound remedied that the pads would need to be replaced, I would have chosen not to replace the brakes. No one would spend $659 just to not hear a squeak that can only be heard when driving through the Tim Horton's drive thru. I may have lost $659 to RMP, which I couldn't afford but was under the impression the breaks were not safe, but RMP will now lose a lot more. When I am ready to upgrade my vehicle in a couple of years, I will not be coming back to RMP. When my son, who I brought to buy his Cruz because I was impressed with my sales man Travis, will not be buying the truck he wants when he is ready to upgrade from RMP. My daughter, when she is ready for a vehicle will also not be choosing RMP. If anyone was to ask if I like my Equinox I will say yes, but don't go to RMP and here is why. So I hope that the $659 dollars I was mislead to spend is worth the approx $150,000 dollars RMP has lost in vehicle sales from my family alone, not to mention all the people I tell this story to. RMP should be embarrassed that their service department will take advantage of someone who just wanted to ensure their brakes were safe but didn't know better since I'm not a mechanic.
