My 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, still under warranty, had different mechanical/whining noises while driving or coasting. Even though the service adviser heard the noise during the test drive, the problem was different mechanical/whining noises while driving or coasting. Even though the service adviser heard the noise during the test drive, the problem was not found and nothing was done. The ignition switch had an intermittent problem - cannot lock the doors with the key outside the car as though the key was still in the ignition lock. Again, the problem could not be found and the lock lubricated with a charge of $24.95 even though the service adviser stated that he had seen the problem before and the lock needs to be replaced. A month later, I brought the car to Hyundai Gallery and they replaced the engine oil pump and put in a new ignition switch under warranty and the problems went away. I contacted Hyundai Canada about this issue with Precision Hyundai and the response is that all Hyundai Dealers are independent businesses and it is up to the dealership to charge for diagnosis. So don't expect Hyundai Canada to intervene if there is a warranty issue. I just bought a 2013 Toyota Venza instead of a 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe even though the Toyota costs more. Another item to watch out for when dealing with Precision Hyundai is the fluid changes. At 48,000km you will be told that the anti-freeze and transmission fluid need to be changed. I insisted that these fluids be tested before the replacement. The fluid tests show that the anti-freeze was to the original specs - pH, concentration, colour and the transmission fluid is like new. So ask for the fluid test before replacement and save yourself a pile of money and the environment. More
My wife has been looking for a Hyundai Tucson. She talked with a sales person and setup a test drive appointment. We did test drive 2 different Tucsons and our sales person was friendly in a sales person way with a sales person and setup a test drive appointment. We did test drive 2 different Tucsons and our sales person was friendly in a sales person way but helpful and knowledgeable. Then it came time to talk about what we were look at for a price. This vehicle is for my wife. She is a novice at negotiating for car pricing but other dealers have treated her with respect and have been very helpful. So she started out. The sales person said he had to get his manager to talk about pricing. Fair enough. In walks a person that is is dressed in a sloppy t-shirt (may have been a tank top) and shorts or jeans. Apperance does not really matter to either of us but when he started to speak ... He basically said he won't talk about any pricing unless she comitted to buy one of the vehicles or it was a waste of time. He noticed we had a list of other sales quotes and asked to see them. My wife pointed out one that was comperable but one step down from what we had just tested. He told her gruffly to go buy the other Tucson at the other dealer and that dealer was bad at their job. She continued to try to find some starting point. He insinuated we continued to waste his time, we shook hands and he stomped out. We just sat their and stared at the sales person. He said if he could do anything else for us - here is his card. I found that funny. So we took the card and left. WOW. Sad thing is she did like one of the vehicles she drove. As I understand it - Dealer put price that is too high - we counter with a lower price - we meet somewhere in between -everyone is happy. If their prices are fixed, they should let you know that and thats fine. I don't know if we would have bought there but the manager made sure we did not. More
I recently bought a Santa Fe from Precision Hyundai and I can say the entire experience was extremely positive. My sales person, Clayton Spence, was informative, knowledgeable, and not pushy. He was very pat can say the entire experience was extremely positive. My sales person, Clayton Spence, was informative, knowledgeable, and not pushy. He was very patient and allowed me to work through the process at my pace. I would have liked to have received more for my trade, but who wouldn't? I dealt with the sales manager, Joseph, who was also friendly and informative. I had to take the vehicle back in to have a remote started installed. The service department was great. My only compliant there was they moved my seat and changed my radio station. Not really a big deal, but I would have preferred they hadn't done that. As a further note, I love my 2013 Santa Fe. I was hesitant about the Hyundai name (Clayton helped to ease that worry), but so far the vehicle has been top notch. Compared to other vehicles, it is the best buy for your buck and Precision has done a great job for me. More
I took my car in for a emergency brake recall issue and when I got my car back they had not bled the system, leaving me with a brake pedal that goes almost to the floor before my brakes engage. Terrible o when I got my car back they had not bled the system, leaving me with a brake pedal that goes almost to the floor before my brakes engage. Terrible oversight on there part. More
When was the last time you have had an appraisle done on your vehicle? Omar is so talented he can appraise a vehicle in under 2 minutes on the phone without any info from a car? Ironically, I work in your vehicle? Omar is so talented he can appraise a vehicle in under 2 minutes on the phone without any info from a car? Ironically, I work in sales of vehicles as well.. Good dearships give fair appraisels and have the respect of their customers. Given the dealership could make a doller on a sale. Omar expects everone to lay down for his sales. Omar thinks your buying the sales guy and not the car. Omar thinks he knows something about cars.. In the business, guys like Omar are usually some dim whitted sales guy who thinks he sells vehicles.. thinks he has a respectable job (I have more respect for Future Shop sales staff).. and is usually promoted by a General Manager who's daddy gave the dealership to him.. Keeping the 1950's way of selling cars.. Once your through the door .. you obviously need a vehicle.. get the deposit and Finance.. The car? who cares it is nice.. Would you like a coffee? (I didn't even get offered the coffee) Please go ahead and exerience the Pathetic Precision Hyundia Management Team! You will not regret the lousy customer service and experience! Very Greedy people. I purchased my used vehicle that had been inspected with no mechanical issues to report, i noticed an oil leak at time of purchase their mechanic took a quick look said out might be just a line leak, Omar s no mechanical issues to report, i noticed an oil leak at time of purchase their mechanic took a quick look said out might be just a line leak, Omar said" he didn't care take it or leave it"he dropped the price so i took it. I had it re inspected right away, came up with a few issues took it back to service as it was their department who missed these issues on their inspection, rich was great he looked after the issues i verbally mentioned but their mechanics missed fully inspecting and noting failed breaks and other front end components, in short their mechanics are not up to par and their managers are not accountable for their employees, poor customer service More
Couldn't provide the vehicle within the time I needed it. Charged my credit card the holding fee after telling them no sale. Took 6 times plus the threat of getting a lawyer before returning my money. Do Charged my credit card the holding fee after telling them no sale. My partner bought a gorgeous 2012 Sante Fe Sport in Fall of 2012 from here. Upon arriving, the salesman, in an attempt to be funny and "raz" my partner, ended up being very insulting. We were on time for of 2012 from here. Upon arriving, the salesman, in an attempt to be funny and "raz" my partner, ended up being very insulting. We were on time for our appointment to close the deal. After waiting 45 min, with no one explaining what was going on, I approached reception. Instead of an apology, the receptionist was so extremely rude, patronizing and condescending. She started explaining that appointments are scheduled one after the other and that sometimes they go over time. Really? Thanks for that elegant explanation. She was basically yelling near the end of the conversation where it got to the point that I had to say, "unless the next words out of your mouth are an apology, I don't want to hear it." The woman who helped us actually pay for the vehicle and sign all the documents was very helpful. I could tell it was the last appointment of the day and that she hates her job but all in all, average service. One of the FOBs was broken up purchase, as well as the back door of the vehicle. We were also missing the owners manual to the vehicle. We were assured that these would be taken care of. After 3 visits to the dealership, 2 phone calls, the run around and a lot of BS, nothing has been done. The "manager" seems to always be out of the office and the person we actually dealt with to purchase the vehicle is never working. Horrible place. So disappointing. So much so, I am willing to drive an extra 30 min to another dealership just to get treated like a decent human being. Upon speaking to 2 other Sante Fe owners who dealt with precision, their reviews were the same: horrible customer service. More
This dealership is HORRIBLE!!! once they have your money they could care less about you. Two days after I bought my vehicle form them it felt like the engine was going to fall out. After two trips to the se they could care less about you. Two days after I bought my vehicle form them it felt like the engine was going to fall out. After two trips to the service department they had no idea what was wrong. They sent me to the actual dealership that makes my vehicle and told me to use warrenty. Olny problem being warrenty does not cover water in the engine from a engine shampoo. The dealership told me straight up they will assume no responsibility for this vehicle. Now I`m left with a bill of $1200 and no vehicle for three days. They also refused to give a loaner so again trapped at home and money flying out the door due to a issue this dealership caused. STAY AWAY they will ignore you and treat you like dirt. More
I have had nothing but problems with Precision Hyundai in SW Calgary. I'm pretty naive when it comes to cars and they saw me coming from a mile away! They are complete and total rip off artists! All kinds of SW Calgary. I'm pretty naive when it comes to cars and they saw me coming from a mile away! They are complete and total rip off artists! All kinds of problems: Bought the cart on a Friday and on Monday had to bring it back for a "wheel alignment" (at my cost). They tried to tell me it was my driving but the car only had 68kms at that point! Lol! (and I swear I only drove it home and then to work on Monday; and that's when I noticed the issue) The "wheel alignment" has been done three times since. Last time I declined and took it to a mechanic who works on heavy duty vehicles and has over 20 years of experience. He told me the alignment was "perfect" (his words not mine) while the dealership told me it was "getting to a dangerous point" (again their words not mine)! The tires only lasted 25,000kms? Out right lies and different explanations depending on who I talked to! Every single time I've taken my car in for a service they have suggested some sort of repair? Yet when I questioned them about the vehicle's quality they didn't think spending $3000.00 on repair (outside normal maintenance and service) on a 2009 reflected a quality issue? I tried to complain to Hundai Corp. but their answer was a mixture between "so sad to bad" and "you should of known better". I'm trying Calgary Hyundai now so we'll see? Sounds like Hyundai isn't the company we thought it was, regardless of the dealer? My new second vehicle (or any other vehicle) will definitely not be a Hyundai! More
