This is a most unfortunate situation that occurred at our store. Precision Hyundai prides itself in our professionalism in how we interact in every way with our customers. The purchase of a Pre-Owned vehicle always requires due diligence on an organization as well as the purchaser, this even more so when the purchase of a vehicle is conducted “sight unseen”. Precision Hyundai markets all of our Pre-owned vehicles with full transparency. Multiple photographs are taken of each vehicle from many different angles to capture a complete and accurate visual understanding of the vehicles current condition. Although many flaws of a vehicle will be shown in these photo’s it’s clear that not every flaw is seen. There was NO attempt to mislead or misrepresent the condition of this vehicle. However, upon arrival and a visual inspection was completed, it is clear that our assessment of the vehicle in question was different than that of “edmonton564”. Once this issue became apparent, Precision Hyundai immediately offered to terminate the transaction. It was clear that if “edmonton564” had the opportunity to view the vehicle she would not have entered into the contact as it had been structured. Attempts were made by both Precision Hyundai and “edmonton564” to come to a mutually acceptable resolution trying to move forward with the purchase. However an agreement was not possible. We acknowledge that our process to have the vehicle ready fell short. Items such as window tinting, 3M application and an interior clean of the vehicle failed to meet the promised time for delivery. We have since changed how the delivery information is communicated. We would recommend that if at all possible, anyone purchasing a vehicle from a remote location should have a friend or family member view the vehicle on your behalf prior to making the decision to travel. This reduces the potential of misunderstandings of this nature.
