I had bought my new Kia Forte Koup sx about 6 months prior. I always have kept my cars in pristine condition, waxed, tires dressed, leather conditioned, windows crystal clear, and always maintained and prior. I always have kept my cars in pristine condition, waxed, tires dressed, leather conditioned, windows crystal clear, and always maintained and serviced early or on time. You could say I am a very prideful owner of all my cars but as this was the first car I had ever bought new it definitely made me even more meticulous. (even through all the difficulties I had with the dealer leading up to my purchase) basically they sold me a car they didn't have, took my $5000 deposit with a smile and Informed me a few days later that they wouldn't be able to deliver my car that they had sold me). So now for the service story. I had gotten off from lecture a little early last month, and since the dealer was close by and my I was about 500km from my first oil change, I thought i might as well get her changed early. I arrive at the dealer, already knowing parking would be an issue since its a very small lot in which all spots are taken up by the new and used vehicles, so I decide to park at the rear where there are dedicated "service" parking spots available (oh lucky me). The parking spots are on a slight incline, so I angled the car while going up the incline and before I know it I SSSCRRAAPPEEEEE. My front bumper and under body ( front tow hook) are completely scraped, paint off, plastic grated and hanging off the front skirt. I inform a service employee and he gets me his manager, which hardly says two words while I'm showing him the damage. on further inspection, the spot where I had parked there were other scrapes, deep ones in the asphalt. This wasn't the first time It happened but the dealer refused to amend or even acknowledge this hazard for their customers and their products alike. The manager asked why I parked in the service parking area instead of just driving my car into the service garage, like parking in the service area was some sort of stupid thing to do. The service manager said "I had to be careful" BE CAREFUL? its a service parking spot, what kind of caution does one need to take when parking in a dedicated spot on their dealers property? shouldn't a paying customer who just forked over $30,000 for a car feel safe on the property that they bought it from? The manager said he couldn't do anything for me, nothing. Before I left the lot after my oil change, I opened my hood as I usually do to inspect for any lose or missing caps from the service (because lets face it, Mechanics are human and forget things sometimes). Upon inspection I noticed one of the most ridiculous oil spills on my engine cover, and oil still dripping on the assault while my car was sitting in the service lot. Absolutely ridiculous. Before purchasing this car I had a 17 year old Pontiac Sunfire GT and I can say after all my at home oil changes, I had never had a spill like this, probably due to the fact that when I was about 4 years old I learned about this fascinating device called a funnel. And if I did spill I usually had a rag lying around somewhere to wipe up the drops, but you know that's just me. I was very disappointed, for a dealer who apparently prides them selves for customer service they obviously have a distorted view on it. I will never get my vehicle serviced or purchase a vehicle at Plaza Kia ever again. I would rather drive 35 minutes out of my way to Newmarket Kia for an Oil change than give these unprofessional people another penny. More
I purchased a 2012 Kia Sedona from Plaza Kia. The dealership added additional (illegal) fees onto my bill of sale, which I noticed after returning home, they also had changed the price of the car. I dealership added additional (illegal) fees onto my bill of sale, which I noticed after returning home, they also had changed the price of the car. I made several calls to Kia, trying desperately to get anyone to return my phone calls, when they did the response was always "I don't know". 7 weeks later I finally received my money (after a phone call to the OMVIC).... also, 6 days after picking up the car, it broke down, overheated on the side of the road. Having it serviced at the Kia close by, they informed me that it overheated due to the aftermarket rad cap that was on my replacement radiator... ok, so the radiator was replaced? would of liked to have known that prior to buying this car... after a fight with Plaza and 5 weeks of calling almost daily, they replaced the aftermarket cap (which could have voided my warranty, along with the one they sold me!) THEN after driving the car 4000 km it started making a noise when turning or breaking, so I brought it into the first Kia I had it serviced at. They informed me that the rear brakes were metal on metal!! funny I was promised they would be at least 80%... the kicker?? afterwards I am informed that my car needs to have the 24,000 km service, they say nothing has ever been serviced. I bought the car at 24,400!! Plaza Kia owned the car at 24,000 km and didn't perform the regular service required!!! I don't see how this place is even still open.... If you are considering buying from there, learn from my mistake, don't. Horrible place. More
I ordered a car with some options but I found that there are missing some options after delivery of the car. When I asked it, they replied that it hasn't been on paper work and then I should pay extra for t are missing some options after delivery of the car. I called to KIA Canada too but there was no support from them and they asked me to go to dealership ! More
I was looking for a new 2013 Kia Soul and approached about half a dozen Kia dealerships across Ontario. I do not live in a major city. I bought over the internet via Isabel Herreros at Plaza. I highly about half a dozen Kia dealerships across Ontario. I do not live in a major city. I bought over the internet via Isabel Herreros at Plaza. I highly recommend her. The price agreed on was by far the lowest of all dealers, as much as $5000 lower than a quote I received from a dealer in Ottawa. The replies were prompt. I paid a $500 deposit by credit card. Picked up the car the next day, ready and waiting. One stop shopping. She contacted my insurance and bought my license plate. Could n't be happier with the car. Outstanding service. My wife could not believe how friendly and happy the dealer was to see us. By contrast one dealer would not negotiate via internet, another did n't reply to an offer for two days. More
My experience with Kia has been somewhat of a nightmare, from Downsview Kia to Plaza Kia of Thornhill, I would say it's bad to worse. The service adviser does a good job, he's helpful and provides all the from Downsview Kia to Plaza Kia of Thornhill, I would say it's bad to worse. The service adviser does a good job, he's helpful and provides all the info you need. The work always takes much longer than what they tell you. You're left waiting forever, they say they have wifi in the waiting room doesn't usually work. My last visit I had $1,200 worth of maintenance done, I was told my vehicle would be clean entirely. They had my vehicle for 4 days, told me it was cleaned but it wasn't, apparently they ran out of time, 4 days for crying out loud, how convenient, I was pretty annoyed, and that was the last draw for me. I could go one but it's a waste of my time at this point. I will not be going back there for service or buy another Kia in the future. More
We purchased a brand new 2011 Kia Optima Turbo with various upgrades in May of 2011. To date, (January 2013) the upgrades purchased have not been installed. Apparently they are still on back order. various upgrades in May of 2011. To date, (January 2013) the upgrades purchased have not been installed. Apparently they are still on back order. No one here is remotely helpful.. THe sales person I dealt with does not return my calls. The Service Manager is constantly promising to deliver, but never does. THe owner does not care about his name being dragged through the mud by these people. I would only send my worst enemy to Plaza Kia. More
Not happy with the service department. Took in my 2012 Not happy with the service department. Took in my 2012 car for windshield repair. Had a stress crack. Since it was covered by the warranty I was told Not happy with the service department. Took in my 2012 car for windshield repair. Had a stress crack. Since it was covered by the warranty I was told the glass will be ordered and replaced free of charge which was great. So the windshield was replaced. After a week in the car wash noticed a leak. Took the car back to the dealer and was told that have to leave the car again until they figure out what's wrong, but wasn't told how long and wasn't offered a loaner. 3 days later I was told the car is ready. After picking up the car I noticed bulbs of adhesive all along the windshield from the interior of the car. So back we go to the dealer. Again was told to leave the car there for the contractor who did the job to come and fix the problem. Having the same person do it twice and both times not being able to do a proper job I insisted that I wanted the job done by a reputable company and I asked them to have it done at Apple Auto Glass. After another 2 days I was told that's okay. So I was promised that once the car is at apples Kia would supply them with all the materials that they would need, molding etc.. Long story short the car has been at apple for the last 3 days waiting for moldings from Kia which was promised to be delivered at the same time as the car. Love Kia cars and was recommending them to friends and family but it appears that the service departments are not able to keep up with the warranty. Not sure if this is a dealership issue, staff issue or bigger, regardless I will not recommended the car to anyone after being stranded with no car or a loaner for total of more then 8 days for a simple issue such as a windshield replacement. I had a friend who recommended me to Plaza who has bought his cars from plaza for over 20 years. He had informed me of there energetic atmosphere, ability to find outgoing, friendly and honest employees, and his cars from plaza for over 20 years. He had informed me of there energetic atmosphere, ability to find outgoing, friendly and honest employees, and great deals. I must say, my visit to plaza proved my friend was right From the moment i walked into the showroom, i was approached by Rick. He asked if i needed help, and when i said i was just browsing, he did not get pushy. When i was ready to talk, i sat down with rick and right from that moment i felt comfortable. He knew the perfect answer to every one of my questions and knew the product inside and out. Rick listened to everything i had to say and helped me select the perfect vehicle for me. When we got into the numbers Rick worked very hard with sales manager Allan to work m out the best deal possible. Allan ensured me i was getting the best deal, which from previous experience, i knew i was, And i could not be happier with my new Kia Sorento. The staff at Plaza are friendly, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and have the ability to make the customer feel right at home and relaxed when making an important purchase. More
I bought a new Kia Optima 2012 from this dealership and i would just like to say that I am very satisfied. I went into the dealership and all of the sales people were taken with other customers so the manage would just like to say that I am very satisfied. I went into the dealership and all of the sales people were taken with other customers so the manager (Paul) took me into his office and dealt with me himself. I don't think that any other GM would do this and they would probably make me wait for other salespeople. Paul gave me a great deal on my car and insured me that what i was buying was right. He was totally correct, i love my new Kia and I am definitely going to recommend them to everyone. Everyone who works at this dealership is so friendly and nice. Thanks for the great car guys!! I love it More
I couldn't agree more with the other reviews, we went in searching for a optima was told they would match the other dealership exactly. Once time came to sign off on papers there where many discrepancies an searching for a optima was told they would match the other dealership exactly. Once time came to sign off on papers there where many discrepancies and they charged us for a 1200 services that they didn't even carry. Paul the manager for lack of words I cant use in a public post is lets just say "constantly creating fiction" everything we where told we would get wasn't honored. Not to mention he's extremely rude, arrogant and full of himself. Overall I love my vehicle and purchase a new one on average ever second year. They lost potentially 6 new sales in the next 12 years. And when people love my car and ask where they can go browse for one I send them as far away form there as I can. The moment we drove the car off the lots I took everything relating to plaza kia off my car with good reason. I wait for the day that they get caught at fault as I now record every conversation and transaction I have with them. I suggest anyone dealing with them to get it in writing, and not be pressured to sign on the line, once you do you have no legal recourse as the ball is now in their court. More
