Toyota Pickering, where to start, wouldn't sell me car unless I purchased Wear Pass and Tire/Rim warranty. Mentioned to them it's illegal and its called "tied selling". The sales rep Ashia i asked her over text message if the "wear pass is optional", she responded saying "no". In my mind I thought okay, 30 days to cancel, get refunded after. Signed contract end March 2022. Took possession of vehicle on mid June 2022. 2 days later I requested for a cancelation of warranty, from there it went south. Financial manager Nick Chau stop responding to my emails, General Manager Dave Hong told me if I'm not happy with contract, return the vehicle and we'll return you your deposit. Asked GM Dave Hong, why does your dealership practice "tied selling" i was ignored. Brian Wagg Dealer Realtion Manager in Toronto, resolved this issue. On Nov. 25 or 26, I sent an email to Toyota Pickering asking if winter floor mats for a 2007 Matrix were available there. I received email acknowledgement of that email on the 26th. On November 28 I re asking if winter floor mats for a 2007 Matrix were available there. I received email acknowledgement of that email on the 26th. On November 28 I received an email from Andrew Kelly concerning my apparent interest in buying a vehicle, and asking questions about my potential car purchase. I responded that I was not enquiring about buying a car, but about buying winter floor mats for a car. On November 29, a message was left on my phone informing me of my appointment to meet someone at the dealership on December 26th (apparently to buy a car). I called back and explained that I had made no such appointment, and explained the situation. I was put through to the parts department, ordered the mats, and picked them up the next day. Colin at the parts department was great, and the purchase of the mats went smoothly and quickly, but somebody dropped the ball in responding to my initial email request, confusing a request for mats with buying a car. Also, somehow an appointment had been set up for me, and I was totally unaware of it. The 2-star rating applies to the initial screw-up; as noted, the eventual order of the mats and receipt of them was 5-star. More
