I have been retired for some time, and I am NOT much of a social media person. However, my last experience with the Peter Smith GM Dealership was such that I could not ignore describing what happened. My Chevy Spark was in for a regular oil change a short while ago. When I picked it up, I was told that my rear brakes and drums needed to be replaced. [I then discovered that the Spark has rotors on the front and drums on the back.] I then asked for a quotation to be sent, when possible, so I knew how much I had to "gather up". When the quotation arrived, it certainly wasn't a pretty number, BUT I discovered that it simply indicated the increased cost of everything automotive. I guess, as everyone knows, increased costs are unfortunately not just associated with cars. Anyway, on with my story. I called for an appointment to have the rear brakes repaired. It was expected to take between 1 1/2 and 2 hours. I planned to wait. About an hour later, my Service Consultant, Megan, came by and said: "About your brakes." Well, having had too much experience with car dealers over many years, I immediately wondered just how bad the news was going to be. She said: "When we did the last service, we noticed that your brakes weren't working as well as they should, and our experience dictated that they need repairing. However, when the technician actually started on the job, he noticed that they needed adjustment and he felt that an adjustment might solve the problem. As a result, he adjusted them. The problem was completely solved. You do not need any repairs or replacements. There is a lot of life still on the brakes. And, by the way, there is no charge today. Here are your keys. Have a nice day." I was shocked. I can't ever remember any dealer doing anything similar. My only experiences have been the complete opposite - there always seems to be more that needs to be done - either now or in the immediate future. I call it up-selling services. Anyway, Congrats to Peter Smith GM - and to Megan and the technician - for their ethics, honesty, and professionalism. They say good word of mouth is the best advertising. Well, I hope you agree my story is positive, unusual in the industry, and here I am doing something I have NEVER done before to try and spread well deserved praise. More

We have always come to Your service centre and bought our vehicles from you but the poor service we received, I had to call at 4:45 pm to find out what was happening with our truck was told it was our tires, vehicles from you but the poor service we received, I had to call at 4:45 pm to find out what was happening with our truck was told it was our tires, I asked if they where sure it wasn’t the turbo was told they would recheck and call me the next morning, had to call again at 2pm because I didn’t here anything. Was again told it was our tires so we came and took the truck to a transmission place and we where correct that it was the turbo therefore who ever was looking at our truck didn’t know what they where doing. Very disappointed. More
I was contacted to come in for service and when I arrived for my appointment they said that I was not due for service. Apparently I was contacted by a 3rd party using your phone number. I was not to happy about this as it was at 8am on a Saturday.. one of my only days off. So now I am not sure when I am to have my new vehicle serviced. More
I would not recommend this location I have bought 2 vehicles from here and both time have had several problems with the vehicle, take it in to service and get told unless it has a check engine light we vehicles from here and both time have had several problems with the vehicle, take it in to service and get told unless it has a check engine light we won't fix it. I have had a leaking sunroof for over a year and a dent still waiting for a return call to be fixed as it was stated in my first service at this location they are just waiting until the dent repair guy comes in (dent was from a issue before or during the painting stage) still waiting 1 year later I have brought it up on multiple occasions.
