I researched vehicles, I had a friend that has an older model of the vehicle I purchased, I built the car on the web and then I sent an email to the Toyota dealership closest to my home asking about the mo model of the vehicle I purchased, I built the car on the web and then I sent an email to the Toyota dealership closest to my home asking about the model I had "built" on the web. I got an apparently automated response stating there would be a follow up email in 24 hours. There wasn't. I wrote again stating that I would prefer to deal close to home but I would go elsewhere if necessary. That brought a response. One that included bad grammar, untruths and totally ignored everything I had in the original email. I was very turned off but really wanted to give it another chance, the vehicle not the dealership, and remembered I had had a friend that worked at Peace Arch Toyota years ago and it was a great place with good people. So I sent an email to them, from the website and what a difference! I got a prompt and personal response. Most of my dealings were via email and it was a great experience. I had a feeling of trust and comfort when I arrived at the dealership and nothing happened to change that. I got the vehicle I wanted at a fair price with no pain. I didn't "steal" the car nor did I feel ripped off, the whole experience from the first email to driving off the lot was pleasant as were all the people I met - Bruce McCallum, the lot boys, the business manager, even the insurance people. Our sales representative was very knowledeable on the vehicle we chose to purchaser but more importantly did not pressure us. Although the model we wanted wwas not readily available in our preferred col vehicle we chose to purchaser but more importantly did not pressure us. We were able to receive every option we desired at a fair price and were most pleased with the entire purchasing experience. We would most certainly purchase another Toyota in the future from Dave. Salesman Leagh Sherman was very helpful when we bought our last Toyota in 2004, so we sought him out to purchase this one in 2013. He is helpful and knowledgeable and uses a "soft sell" approach that appe our last Toyota in 2004, so we sought him out to purchase this one in 2013. Have dealt with Leagh over the years for the purchase of at least 3 Toyota Corollas. He is always personable, knowledgeable...never tries any of the usual 'strongarm' sales tactics. Mr. Sherman really knew his vehicles. He was able to describe all the important features and qualities of the Toyota Matrix I ended up buying from him. Having put nearly 400,000 klms on my 9 RAV 4 I was pretty sure I would continue with the Toyota brand. After a quick review of the competition I made my way to our local dealer and upon looking at a few vehi sure I would continue with the Toyota brand. After a quick review of the competition I made my way to our local dealer and upon looking at a few vehicles was met by a sales rep to see if I needed assistance. The process was fairly quick as was not kicking tires or demanding the moon. Sherrie myself and my wife assessed our needs and test drove a Matrix. It seemed like it would work and I was looking a few little incentives to commit to buying. Sherrie listened well, presented my offer and the deal was done. Upon picking up the car everything was in order and all it all it went very smooth. Over the past year I have found the service department to be very customer friendly so that is a nice bonus. We went shopping for a Prius knowing it would be great on gas but Sherrie made sure our experience was great too. She helped make our purchase smooth and painless and all in one day. She answered every question we had about driving such a unique vehicle and was even able to help answer our questions a few days later when we couldn't figure out the XM radio or the Bluetooth. We purchased a 2010 Mazda CX-9 from this dealership and after a very unpleasant negotiation purchased the car. The car has a keyless entry FOB and when we returned to complete the sale our salesman, Tom, after a very unpleasant negotiation purchased the car. The car has a keyless entry FOB and when we returned to complete the sale our salesman, Tom, was not working. Another salesman delivered the car to us at the dealership but could only find one FOB. He assured us the other one "must be around somewhere" and told us he would let Tom know and assured us someone would call to arrange delivery of the FOB. We did not receive a call and when we called to inquire Tom told us there was only one FOB and that it was common for a car to be sold with only one key or FOB. Luckily the previous owners information had not been deleted from the on board telephone directory and we were able to contact them directly. They assured us that they had indeed given the dealership two FOB's. When we called the dealership with this information our salesman told us that it was the previous owners word against the dealerships and he couldn't do anything for us because of the "underhanded way your husband negotiated the deal with me" When I stated how offended I was that in our short conversation Tom had called the previous owner a liar and my husband underhanded, he just repeated there was nothing he could do and they would not replace the FOB. When I then suggested they contact the Mazda dealership that they also own Tom said that dealerships had to pay retail for all parts! Basically this guy is so full of xx that I really couldn't stomach talking to him anymore. I then sent an email to the sales manager which was also ignored. I have worked in the retail industry for 30 years and have never seen such bad customer service from every person I have had the displeasure to deal with. I would NEVER recommend this dealership and plan to continue to pursue this through small claims court. More
Had a tire chance done at the dealer for my Toyota Venza. When the car came out, the light grey driver seat had a big black dirty bottom mark that came from mechanic's coverall. The adviser claimed the dirt was gone. But it wasn't. They told me to come back to see manager. just brushing off to somebody else. i have limited time. I ended up cleaning by myself. This was 2nd time I had un happy experiences. I will not go back again. More
