My experience with Ottawa Honda is not good & has NOT gotten any better. At first all seemed great, Orlando seemed nice, if combative with me on stupid things (Insisting I was wrong on things that we gotten any better. I almost purchased a car the 1st visit, but it fell through. Frank, the sales manager, told me that if I came back, they'd honor all the things we agreed on (tires included with my deal, a full tank of gas ect.) I came back MULTIPLE times after this because they didn't have the car I wanted, & each time was told "we'll take you're info & call you" *Spoiler: they didn't ever* I finally saw the car I wanted on the lot as I drove by & came in told them exactly what I wanted, had everything ready to buy. I ended up having to fight them to take my sale *should have run here*. I found the car I wanted but suddenly all the promises they made me (tires, gas ect) they couldn't honor & I could "take it or leave it". Finance was amazing, we agreed on everything, signed on the lines & set a pickup date. I thought all was good. Nope. Pickup day comes & 53 minutes before I'm supposed to get my car, I get a text *not even a call* saying, no car for you today. So I take myself down to the lot to pay the rest of my deposit & figure out WTH is going on. I'm met with excuse after excuse. I left mad & frustrated but with the promise that the car will be done the next day. I come back next day & NOTHING is done on the car. The entertainment screen was still broken, none of the scuffs we had originally talked about had been removed, detailing was not done & additionally someone had HIT the car off something & tried to pass it off as "no, that mark was always there". I would no longer deal with the sales person & demanded the manager. Frank was out, so the next in command dealt with me & agreed that it was RIDICULOUS that I was supposed to accept the car in this shape. I was promised all would be done ASAP. Eventually, most things got fixed but was told that the entertainment screen they couldn't get working, they'd have to order another & that it was on backorder. Shouldn't be long at all... My car was finally returned to me on Dec 16th, a month after I purchased it, still not repaired & waiting on parts with the promise they'd be in "soon" and that service would "be in touch". My car was only made whole on March 27th, four MONTHS after purchase & only after I had multiple calls & emails to find out what was going on. Not one single call or email was made to me over the entire period to update me or try to figure this out. They kept promising to "make it right" & couldn't even follow through on the one promise of a tank of gas to "compensate you for your frustration" I had the car back for exactly 3 months, still not fully functional, but still making payments for a car that had yet to be made whole with NO follow up made with me or calls returned. I'm disgusted by the treatment I've gotten (Or I guess lack thereof) & you can be confident that I'll not be recommending Honda to ANYONE at all since you can't follow through on any promises made. The ONLY good person I dealt with was Sharon, she was amazing & so kind. More
This is my third lease of a HRV from Ottawa Honda on Richmond Road. The sales person I deal with is James Savoie, for all 3 leases. James is professional, prompt, accommodating, friendly and diligent at Richmond Road. The sales person I deal with is James Savoie, for all 3 leases. James is professional, prompt, accommodating, friendly and diligent at his job. He is always available to assist or answer questions. His explanations are understandable and truthful. I highly recommend James Savoie as a sales person if you are purchasing/leasing a new Honda vehicle. I have recommended James to friends who were also pleased with their Honda purchase from James Savoie. I have driven Honda vehicles since 1999. Everyone at the dealership is truly professional, courteous and helpful. I respect and appreciate their service. Joseph Daccache was professional in his duties as well. I love my new Honda HRV and consider myself fortunate to deal with the people at Ottawa Honda, including the Service Department! Thank you! More
The Honda dealership on Richmond Road is terrible. Awful service. The man at the counter was belligerent with me. He even argued with me as I was leaving. I brought my car in a few weeks ago and they said it was fine after checking "everything" for $180. Then the same problem occurred so I brought it back and I wanted them to look at it for free. I had already spent $360 there for them to diagnose this problem and I didn't want to spend another $180. Then man at the counter who was not a mechanic (he had grey hair) started arguing with me immediately. When a customer has a problem, you are supposed to try and solve their problem- not argue with them. I had to tell him to open the file, he just started arguing without knowing anything about the situation. To be fair, the woman I spoke to a few weeks before was actually nice and considerate. But unfortunately she was away today so I had to contend with this ogre. I left frustrated because I wasn't about to be gouged $180 again for apparent" experts" that clearly don't know what they are doing. They just want to sell cars and brand new parts and gouge customers. So I went to Mr Lube in Nepean and the friendly man was sympathetic and checked my oil, tires and diagnosed the sensor problem using a code reading machine for free! he restarted the dash light and got rid of the warning lights. I now know the problem with my car and it didn't even take 10 minutes! He agreed he doesn't like the Honda dealership. They are eager to get your money but not to solve your problem. More

The service in the sales department at first appeared positive and and the sales personal were polite. They told me that, due to the shortage of cars, I had to pay a deposit and they would call me when m positive and and the sales personal were polite. They told me that, due to the shortage of cars, I had to pay a deposit and they would call me when my chosen vehicle or a similar one would arrive in an unspecified period of a month or two. I waited and did not hear from them. In the meantime, I called four times to insist on paying the deposit and was repeatedly told that it would not be necessary. I again called after weeks of silence from sales dept., was told that a car similar to chosen one was arriving the following week so I made an appointment with Honda to see it on that day. Got to the dealership on Tuesday and was told that the vehicle was already sold. Have not heard from Ottawa Honda since. Smooth talking sales pitches without service to back it up, a general lack of transparency. Changed dealerships and bought a new Honda, service was comparatively professional and straightforward. I requested to get my tires that are in storage as I was selling my CRV. They told me they would have them ready in 1 week. When I called back after 1 week of not hearing back from them they told me they st selling my CRV. They told me they would have them ready in 1 week. When I called back after 1 week of not hearing back from them they told me they still had not gotten my tires and it was not their priority. As a result I had to reschedule selling my vehicle and call my insurance again to notify them of the delay. Their terrible customer service is the reason I’ll never get a Honda again. Never go here. They will treat you like crap. More
