I went in for an oil change, with an appointment for 9am. I was served promptly. I had a small issue regarding some rattling near the muffler. Turns out it was a loose heat shield, with rusted bolts. That was fixed, no issues. I needed new rear brakes, and they were taken care of promptly. More

Joanne made the purchase easy and relaxed, didn't play games or mess us around, and make us feel confident in our choice. This was a complete opposite experience from the week before, when we visited a Toyota dealership in Vancouver and basically ran for it. Thank you Joanne!! More
Awful care in their customers Bought a 2014 Toyota Corolla S from open road Toyota Port Moody on the last week of August 2018. I am a 21 year old women, my first big purchase and spent over $18,300 in cash to purchase this vehicle. The sales man was Andrea who ensured me I was buying a car that I wouldn’t have to worry about because they did a 153 point inspection as well as put over $2000 worth of service (new brakes, front tires, air filter, battery etc). I did months of research to find the perfect vehicle for myself, I would often work 12 days in a row picking up extra shifts at work to save money to purchase a decent reliable vehicle. Anyways, within 24 hours of driving the vehicle off the lot, a sound in the brake appeared that was alarming to me. I was worried but optimistic they would fix it because sometimes vehicles have been sitting on the lot for months and it could be an adjustment issue. So I made an appointment the following week to have it fixed and made sure I didn’t have to pay for it due to literally just purchasing the vehicle.. well they told me they fixed it and the exact sound returned very shortly after. Had to make another appointment ( mind you I drive over 45 min each way to get to this dealership). This time I got a second opinion from another dealership and was told the left boot axle of the vehicle was torn and leaking oil. Open road said they would fixed it but were rude and suggested it was a very fresh cut and that it was my doing. Well I waited all day for the vehicle and finally fed up I called them to see if it was ready, then the guy informs me they will probably need to keep it overnight because they didn’t order the right part for it. Ok.. I asked for a rental car but they don’t have any so how am I going to get home from work and go to work the following morning? Well my dad was so kind he had to call into work that he would be late so he could drive me and pick me up. I pick up my vehicle the following day and drive it off the lot and this time instantly the sound is still prominent every time I would brake driving to work in Langley. So I call them AGAIN to make another appointment because they didn’t fix the actual problem ( im assuming the left book axle was a complete different problem the car had). Well I take it in for my scheduled appointment a THIRD time and this time the sales representive Allen tells me they have figured out the sound and the problem is fixed. I drive it home and feel optimistic because I don’t hear a sound this time. Well here I am again the exact sound has re appeared. Obviously if the sound has reappeared the root of the problem has not been fixed. Well I called Allen and I’m told he will call me back right away. He calls me a few hours later leaving me a voicemail stating that he heard my car is making the sound again, however they will be charging me for the servicing because the last time they did it they deemed it “not a safety issue”. Allen also stated he’s not available to talk to me so I have to make appointment with someone else. I am beyond upset. This sound in the brakes has been here since I drove it off the lot.. and they are going to charge me for something because their mechanics couldn’t fix it the first, second or THIRD time? I called the sales manager Trevor and explained my situation, he sounded very sympathetic and stated he is surprised this wasn’t brought to his attention and he would get back to me in a few minutes. Well it’s been two days and never got a call from Trevor. I will never bring my buisness to open road and I will steer any family and friends away from them as well. I will continue to bring my family and I to West Coast Toyota as they fit me in right away and they find the problem in my vehicle instantly. Stay away from Open road Toyota, especially the Service department. They do not care about their customers. More
