If I could give 0 stars here, I would have. I am from Victoria and my mother and I both took 2 days off work to visit this dealership and look at a specific car. The sales person (Doug Hooper) agreed to transport us back and forth to the ferry which I was really appreciative of. I ended up making an offer on the car, but they were hard-balling me, insisting that I should pay list price. I made another friendly counter offer and was told the best they could do is $500 off of the advertised price (of a used car). I had already thought the list price was inflated based on my research and showed them other cars listed but instead of explaining their rationale to me or anything, the sales person just got extremely angry. It was very confusing what I might have done to set the guy off, because the whole process was fine until then and I had thought we were having a friendly conversation about pricing. I was met with quite shocking unprofessional behavior and the guy refused to drive me back to the ferry because I didn’t buy the car. I was just stunned and didn’t argue with him, I just called a cab which cost quite a lot in rain and rush hour traffic trying to get back to the ferry. Now that I think back on it, he might have thought it was a done deal before I even visited and he was angry when his expectations were wrong. He was hoping I hadn’t done research and that I was willing to overpay for the car. I think the man has anger issues and wouldn’t expect that kind of emotional outburst in a pricing conversation with someone who should be experienced in the matter. There are many other details I could explain but I don’t want to waste any more of my time on this dealership. More
