Spend your hard earned money some where else! I was living out of country and moving back to Canada in a few months. I'm a pretty organized person and like to plan and do my research. I narrow I was living out of country and moving back to Canada in a few months. I'm a pretty organized person and like to plan and do my research. I narrowed down the car I wanted and with what options. Pretty simple I thought. I opened up a conversation with a salesperson at O'Regan's and explained my desire to have a car ordered and delivered prior to my arrival. One of three coIour options. I was informed that they did not have the options I requested and that 2 of the options I requested were not available in Canada. I found this surprising since the information I obtained was from BMW Canada's web site. Given the the few months I had, I had time to wait for the right car. I was then told for O'Regan's to look further beyond their inventory, they would require a $2500 deposit. A bit odd and maybe a bit rude I thought. I thanked them and ended the conversation. I picked up the phone suspecting that the salesperson I was dealing with at O'Regan's was maybe not someone I would like to work with. I didn't like feeling as though I was being managed into buying a car already in their inventory. The conversation left me feeling a bit annoyed and suspecting that this salesperson wasn't looking out for my interest. I thought for a moment and then thought that there must another BMW dealer? I saw that Moncton had a BMW dealer, so I picked up the phone to call. The salesperson at BMW Moncton was not at all like at O'Regan's. I started by explaining my situation for a second time and for my desire to have a car waiting for my arrival, in a few short months. It was a friendly but short conversation with a lot of yes and no problem, let me see what I can find you. A motivated and friendly person. Later that afternoon I got a call back with what he was able to locate and where, but no options had enough of what I wanted. Not deterred, this gentlemen said that he would look at what was being shipped and or in production and would call me back the next day. The next day came and true to his word he found a car which was a good option. I can't tell you how much easier that was. Upon the cars delivery they drove it down from Moncton for me to my new home. A world of difference between Moncton and O'Regan's. Wish I lived closer to Moncton but I don't. I've had no choice but to service my car at O'Regan's. Here's what kind of service you can expect from O'regan's, I could go on and on , but I won't. Sunroof was leaking which caused one the motor's to fail. They replaced the wrong one. I had to return a second time. Had a problem with the alignment from a pot hole soon after receiving the car. 4 years later, still a mystery to the genius's at O'regan's service department. Eventually I took it to a local mechanic and voila, like a miracle, it was fixed. The mechanic was a bit perplexed as to why they were unable to fix it. So now my alloys are ruined and I have blown through many a set of tire all do to the incompetence at O'Regan's. None of which they are willing to except as their responsibility. Over time I had people ask as to why I had a BMW Moncton plate on my car....after explaining my situation, find out that other BMW owners have had similar experiences and some drive all the way to Moncton to service their vehicles to avoid O'Regan's. Note to self......tell as many people as you can to stay away from O'Regan's group of dealerships. And BMW, shame on you for doing business with this family! More
*BUYER BEWARE* O'Regan's earns a resounding FAIL! !!! After 4 years of having the same problem (shaking and steering)with my new BMW, I finally took my car to another German car specialist after my w !!! After 4 years of having the same problem (shaking and steering)with my new BMW, I finally took my car to another German car specialist after my warranty was done. First visit, problem solved. It turns out it was an alignment that needed to be done correctly. Seems the tech's at O'Regan's weren't able to do a pretty basic alignment. During the 4 year ordeal, I was made to feel as though I was driving in a way that must cause the alignment to fail within a few short days (every time). That would have made sense if I had that problem with my other cars, but I didn't. After the tech/mechanic at Hogues European Auto Repair in Chester made his adjustments, the problem was solved (permanently). So this brings me to the next portion of this review......when I brought this issue to the attention of the Dir of customer service (Mary-Ellen), all I heard was the echo of what I heard before, with no possibility that it was anything they had done. I'm guessing that this issue is baked into the culture of this organization. When I went back through my bills and totalled up all my expense incurred from this adventure it totalled $5063.00. To explain more fully, my alloys were ruined from frequent fussing. I was replacing tires every 8 months as well as paying for alignments that were not being executed by a trained professional causing the tires to wear badly. Pretty simple stuff O'Regan's! If you are looking to buy/repair a car from a company with integrity, honesty and real customer service past the sale of the car, look else where. The O'Regan's brand has shown me what they really think of their customers, and it isn't good! Beneath the polish of the BMW logo is a family who is happy to take your money for work they don't do properly or possibly don't do at all? More
I haven't had contact with them for years, because they were so horrible in the past. Just tried 4 times to get some simple information, from a somewhat unfriendly receptionist. Not a fan! I had vibration problem for the 4 years I had warranty. Under the advisement of O'Reagans I changed out my run flats and had an alignment twice a yea I had vibration problem for the 4 years I had warranty. Under the advisement of O'Reagans I changed out my run flats and had an alignment twice a year which never solved the vibration and shaking. According to them....they did every test known. Four sets of tires later.....every 10 months I was dealing with at least one or two bald tires on the outer edge. I'm guessing the clues to the problem were in there. Assuming they were experienced. Finally I brought my car to a local German car specialist. I had the same conversation about my issues. When they looked at the car, there were some pretty basic adjustments to the tires aside from the alignment. He thought possibly that the back tires had never been adjusted based off the bolts looked untouched compared to the front. I test drove my vehicle on the way home at high speeds. First time since the car was new that it drove like it was supposed to. So my question to O'Reagans BMW, what were you doing all that time? Any why with all your state of the art equipment could you not fix a basic issue with a new car? I would not recommend this company EVER! They are very good at charging you, but never really fixing your problem. They get a solid thumbs down! Four years...... More
Very efficient, courteous and always friendly. Scott in Service is just that person who is always there for me when I travel from Pictou County to have my vehicle serviced.
