My email is Perry.amanda.lee@gmail.com We are very dissatisfied with the service we received recently at Northway ford in brantford. My husband and I went there to purchase a new truck after our 1995 SHO was written off. We were first time new car buyers and were very excited. We were told that it would not be a problem to find us a truck (base model crew cab with trailer package in white, black or blue) that there were "lots of trucks out there" and that as s long as we signed the purchase agreement by the end of the month we would be eligible for the november promotions which included the winter tire package. I was very excited about that, as this would primarily be my vehicle to drive and i have never driven a truck before and was nervous to drive my kids around in it without winter tires. They were however unable to find us a suitable truck before the end of the month and informed us that we were not able to get the winter tires any longer. I feel that we were rushed into a deal under the threat of losing the promos. Elise told us that we had to make up our minds so that they could report a VIN sold by the end of the day... when they must have KNOWN there was no way they could find us a truck that matched our criteria in time to qualify..in fact, a week went by and they STILL were not able to find a truck. we started communicating with the sales manager Paul and he tried to get us to take a truck that was not even close to what we wanted. when we did not, he seemed to get frustrated with us. Time was running out for us to get a new vehicle with our rental almost due to be returned. Since we work in 2 different cities we NEED to have 2 vehicles. The whole process was taking too long and Paul did not seem to be in much of a hurry. He tried again to get us to take another truck that was not equipped with what we needed for trailering and we finally said that we were thinking of going elsewhere...possibly not even going with a ford. This is his response to that copied from an email he sent us "Ok I think your right, THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD LET ME KNOW FRIDAY NOT US.I think you should call st marys or your closest gm store, sorry for the inconvienience" we were shocked that a sales MANAGER would tell a customer to go to a competitor. I can send you all of our email communications.To me that is unacceptable. I thought that you should be aware of the treatment we have received. He very nearly lost ford a customer. We in fact ended up at eastgate ford in hamilton with Greg, who helped us find a truck within a week and was very nice. We will NEVER recommend northway ford to anyone. thank you for your time.
