I have been to this dealership three times over the past four years. NOT because I've been satisfied with the service. Because I live in a remote area even though its the CLOSEST mazda dealer, it still a 4 four years. NOT because I've been satisfied with the service. My first experience was 4 years ago, so details are quite vague and I can't honestly say all would be accurate, so I'll simply say it was satisfying and felt I was overcharged for what was done-don't we all... My second experience was for a damaged air pressure sensor in a tire. My tire had a flat, so I took the tire to my local garage. They told me I had damaged the sensor during the flat and would continue to leak out a split in the stem.. Filled up, the pressure would hold for a couple weeks. Next time in SSM, I had them look at it. They took off the tire and severely damaged the stem. Not having one in stock, they put some kind of black tar as a patch and told me they would have to order one in for the next day. I wasn't staying the night so no point. I left the dealer with a full tire and 1 hour later my tire was completely FLAT. I called the dealer and was given parts and service managers phone number at home as it was now past 5pm. I explained I had to drive home that night and asked if there was anything he could do as obviously they had made my small problem MUCH worse. He said there was nothing that could be done and apologized. I drove home that night, stopping every 30minutes to rein folate my tire. Brought it to my local garage and there is where I found out what had happened. They simply put in a new regular stem and charged me 5 dollars! I just had to live with a constant low pressure light on the dash, which I was glad to do. Third experience was just yesterday. I called in the morning and made an appointment for 2pm, but he said try to get in sooner. Showing up at 1:30, I was directed to a rather unfriendly service employee. I conveyed my thoughts and observations with my car and he quickly dealt with me and stated they would call my cell when they had completed an inspection and before commencing any repairs. Also telling me nothing could be done about my failed air conditioning as their machine was broken...not good in JULY! I was asked to wait for a shuttle who would take me to an appointment I had in town. After 20 minutes waiting he gave me an old, tired looking mazda pickup covered in advertising and stains throughout the interior. Obviously it was the vehicle used by service employees for running errands....I was not impressed, but already late for my appointment, I took it. Two hours later, I called them and asked what the situation was with my car. They said the mechanic was just about to take a look at it. After shopping I drove to the dealership. It was now 5pm and everyone was gone but the very same parts and service manager I had dealt with in the past. He had tried calling me 5 minutes previous to my arrival and left a voicemail stating he was closing shop for the night. He started by telling me they had not found the time to do any work on my car. They knew I was driving back home that evening as soon as my car was repaired!! He told me the brake pads that were installed previously were NOT installed properly and they had caused some damage and of course needed to be replaced. He changed his story very quickly when he realized it was his mechanics who had changed them! They had to use a different brand of brake pad from another supplier in town as once again, I was in a hurry and couldn't wait. The manager had just assumed I had them done elsewhere! When I told him I expected that repair to be done for free as it was their fault. He said "Look, if you're not happy with the service we provide, (pointing to the road) then take your car and get out of here!" and that's EXACTLY what I did. I fully intend to contact the head office of Mazda with my complaint and see if they will make this right and cover the cost of that repair. I will NEVER, EVER step foot in that dealership again! More
