I have had a few issues now , but with this latest one i feel i need to formally put in a complaint. The first and relatively minor issue is they said they would fix the remote starter for me. An error message comes up when you try and start it and they said they would have a specialist look at it and that never got done, it still doesnt work. Then about 2 weeks ago my car broke down. I got it diagnosed by an acura dealership as the clutch and flywheel, and took it to another mechanic in edmonton to fix it at a cost of $1200. I know there is no warranty on my vehicle and that it could have been an issue with my driving, even though i've only had it for a few months. Upon getting it back though it drives like a different vehicle now compared to the day i bought indicating that the clutch was more than likely on its last legs when i bought it. Still, i paid it and let it go because its nothing i can prove and i have no warranty. Now to address my last and biggest issue with my service at Norden. When we went trhough the car history report something came up about a recall. During the 2 day process i had to ask numerous times if it had been dealt with. Finally, after about the third or fourth time i asked the salesman said he looked into it and it had been fixed. Yesterday i got a letter from Acura that it hadnt. It is a major safety issue, a faulty airbag that "metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material possibly causing injury or fatality to vehicle occupants" as it states in the letter, which i can send you a copy of if you would like. This is a recall that acura fixes free of charge, i would have still bought the car and arranged to get it fixed had that information been disclosed to me. Regretfully it was not, and i have been driving me and my son around in this car unknowing of the dangers of it. When i went into Norden for a vehicle i had just been in an accident while sitting at a red light, had my car written off and was so thankful my son wasn't with me. The salesman knew all of this and still sold me a car that put my child and i at risk and i cannot comprehend how anyone with any set of morals could do this, i find it absolutely horrifying. When i went there i was in desperate need of a vehicle and i felt like i could trust the people that were selling me my car. They sell how many millions of dollars of cars out of there and were willing to lie to me and put my 3 year old in jeapordy over $8900. I can deal with faulty starters and hefty mechanical bills, but this is absolutely reprehensible and i am completely disgusted with my experience, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Celeste Ramage **this is the review i privately submitted to go auto about a week ago. I was contacted by a general manager at norden last week who continually minimized the recall saying it is not a big deal, and that the salesman did not remember any conversation about a recall. He then started questioning who installed the remote starter. It doesn't matter it was installed before i bought the car and your salesman said it would be fixed. I am disgusted with their service and will never go back there and recommend you don't as well, if you do get absolutely everything in writing. More

When I was dealing with financing the guy Jordan showed me the inspection sheet and it showed two things wrong with the vehicle. I starred at the sheet a bit puzzled and asked if those problems would pass inspection in Manitoba, he said they would as it's all the same province to province. Jordan also said "I'm not sure if the dealership will be fixing those problems today or later on". With that being said reassured me those things would be fixed so I wasn't worried. I proceeded to sign all the papers. A few days later I called them to ask if those problems would pass inspection so I can register and insure it for now and get the problems fixed later on. I spoke with a very rude girl in the service department and she said that it wouldn't pass safety. I got very frusterated and hung up. My boyfriend phoned back and spoke with the sales manager Dylan, Dylan told my boyfriend that if I cannot register and insure it then they would fix the problems. I was a bit confused because I thought they were going to be fixing the problems anyways. Ive been on and off on the phone with Dylan talking about me being promised those problems being fixed prior to me purchasing the vehicle. When being on the phone with Dylan he is consistently giving me attitude. Now I've been trying to call him back multiple times and leaving messages to the receptionist to get him to call me back; he is purposely avoiding my calls. I am extremely regretting purchasing a vehicle from Norden. Their customer service is terrible and they make false promises... More

Wasted time, money, and energy I went on a holiday Monday. My first sales rep, Derek, kept taking phone calls and seeing other clients while I was dealing with him. They also had on I went on a holiday Monday. My first sales rep, Derek, kept taking phone calls and seeing other clients while I was dealing with him. They also had only one of the six used vehicles advertised online that I was interested in actually on the lot. After a couple of hours of alternating between being told that they did not have the vehicle in the ad and being asked to wait while Derek dealt with yet another phone call/client, I was transferred to a different sales rep, Kayla. Less interruptions with Kayla. From the time I was switched to Kayla, it still took something like half an hour to get the first car that I liked (and that was available) for a test drive. After some discussion, we started looking at new cars, and after yet another weirdly long wait, I got to test drive the car that I ultimately bought. I was then left waiting in the waiting room for well over an hour before being brought up to speak to financing. All in all, I spent about 6.5 hours at Norden VW and only test drove two cars then purchased one. I went to register the car and discovered that VW had not provided me with a form (original required) essential to the registration process for a new car. When I called to ask about this, the receptionist put me through to a department voicemail three times before I instructed her to put me on hold and get someone on the line. To their credit, they drove the form over. The day my remote car starter was installed, I was told I couldn't pick it up because it had to be brought back from the garage and cleaned. I got a call the next day that my car was back at Norden and ready for pick up immediately, so I cabbed it over only to find what looked like scratches all over my dirty car. The lines that appeared to be scratches actually turned out to be streaks of glue from the installation process which they had not bothered to wash off. The rep I was with, Tim (/Tom?) tried to tell me that my car had been washed the day before prior to the remote car starter being installed. I wound up spending over an hour at Norden VW for what was supposed to be an immediate pick up. I received a voicemail tonight at 9:02pm from James at VW advising me that the financier was refusing to finance me unless I switched over my Manitoba license to an Alberta license. Alternatively, I was told in the message that I could get financing from a different institution at a higher interest rate. Please note, my first car payment is due on Monday, so they have given me exactly one business day in which to find the time to go down to the registrars, to get an out-of-province driver's abstract (standard timeframe is two to five days), and to pay to switch over my license (which I was not told prior to signing the contract that I'd have to do in order to get the car and which the Albertan gov doesn't require me to do for 90 days). Or apparently, I can pay them far more money. I may very well wind up with a voided contract here since apparently Norden VW thinks it's acceptable to drop last minute requirements that alter the terms of contract. Save yourself a potentially massive headache and stay the xxxx away from this dealership. More
