After my appointment is where it all went wrong 1 hour and 27 minutes to be picked up no more than a 10 minutes drive away I had called 3 times asking where the shuttle was and on the third call I asked how much the battery/install was going to be $277 I asked why so much and there must be a mistake (I had put in 2 Nissan batteries over the years from a Nissan dealership and never paid anything over $150 taxes in) the customer service rep raised his voice and persisted they would remove the battery, as I didn't understand the cost and was tired of waiting I told him we would figure this out when I got to the dealership. I arrived at the dealership and the rep (Gord) persisted that the price was fair and they would rip out the new battery. I walked straight to the customer service manager (Dot) and told her the situation she said the price was correct because they hook up the new battery and test it and give the customer the results of the new battery. I called xxxxxxxx to this and she asked the rep for the test paperwork he left to go get it about 2 minutes later he showed up saying they couldn't provide it the manager told him "well why are we charging him for it" he tucked his tail between his legs and remained silent. It still cost $186 for the battery/install but I paid it and felt vindicated. 3 days later in Cambridge all sorts of electrical flickering was happening so I took my car into Nissan of Cambridge and they inspected the car they told/showed me that the clamp for the battery was cracked from overtightening and the battery was damaged from squeezing the battery in it's spot not removing the cowl, they also broke the windshield washer clip on the cowl either by ripping the old battery out or ramming the new one in. I pulled the service order from Nissan of Windsor out of the glove box and they called Nissan of Windsor and spoke with the customer service manager who remembered me by the way and told her the situation she agreed to pick up the tab for a new clamp ( no new battery or cowl ). Nissan of Cambridge charged Nissan of Windsor for the repair. What type of dealership can't install a battery and lies about tests that were never done simple Nissan of Windsor. I called Nissan of Canada and told them the news they didn't care quoting dealerships are privately owned and it's not their problem (they are representing your name). Long story short I was in the market for a mid size sedan and really like the Altima but because of this fiasco I bought a new Toyota Camry. More

I had to reschedule after I arrived, for which they did apologize. The service was done the next day at a very quick pace, my invoice was presented and explained. Gord is consistently smiling, which is wonderful. Great people, conversation and coffee.. One thing though, they do charge $4.95 just to top up the washer fluid. Mine was practically full before taking it in so I wasn't pleased, next time I will ask them not to fill it. I can buy 2 full jugs for that price. More

She had more than her fair share of patience, and then took the vehicle to have the issues dealt with. Upon return, she explained everything that was done to the vehicle and addressed any further concerns. A part was ordered. She shared this information with the original sales representative. I have always had Toyota and so this was a different experience, certainly not a bad one. One thing Toyota does (which is just wonderful), if you go in for warranty work, they will give you a car to use, so you don't have to wait until a day off to have the work done. Even if it was just a used car off the lot, at least you kept your independence, for warranty work, anyway. This will take some getting used to. More

She had most of the answers and anything that needed more information, she got without hesitation. They worked with me in my preferences and got me a very good interest rate. I went in to look at a used Nisan and left with a brand new one. They helped me make sense of my decision long-term. Everyone was quite friendly and I was introduced to the service team. I was offered coffee and made comfortable. Overall it was a good experience. They took the car indoors for me to look at being that it was such a nasty day out. It's the small things that make a difference, Christen understood that. More
