We drove to Newmarket and made the deposit as they had the vehicle in the trim and the colour that I wanted. A special thanks to Kai, Mark, Leo, Caitlin, Debbie, both Seans and Nick in Service. Everyone was engaging and friendly. I am sure I missed one or two others as well. Enjoying the new vehicle and I will be back for service. More
I’m writing this review to warn other customers of the serious and documented misconduct I experienced at NewRoads Subaru Newmarket. During what was supposed to be a routine service appointment, a fema serious and documented misconduct I experienced at NewRoads Subaru Newmarket. During what was supposed to be a routine service appointment, a female service advisor Jesse Mueller entered my locked vehicle without my consent, sat inside, and began recording and loudly mocking the interior of my car. This wasn’t part of any diagnostic or service — it was pure disrespect, and I have the video to prove it. Later that same day, a manager from the dealership named Mo followed me off the dealership property and into a nearby public parking lot while threatening me verbally looking to fight me. As I was driving away, he picked up a rock, calmly walked toward my vehicle, and threw it at my car while I was still driving. The entire sequence is captured on phone + rear and front view dash cam. When I brought this to the attention of the General Manager, I was dismissed and told “What do you want me to do?” No apology, no accountability — just a refusal to address the actions of their own staff. Not long after that, a senior employee of Newroads Automotive, Ian Roy, contacted me and said — word for word — that if I didn’t drop my legal claim, he would notify Subaru Canada to nullify my warranty. This was a direct threat, and that call is fully recorded. This review isn’t about venting — it’s to warn other customers that these events actually happened and are now being addressed through formal legal action. The matter is currently before the courts. All of this is backed by evidence that includes dashcam + phone video, audio recordings, emails, and text messages. I never expected this level of unprofessionalism, and I strongly urge anyone considering this dealership to do their research and proceed with caution. This is not just a “bad service” story — this is a dealership that, in my experience, crossed multiple legal and ethical lines. More

I am of the belief it is the first person a client comes in contact with. My first contact was a telephone chat with Matt from sales. Matt's authentic self resulted in my visit to this dealership. It's worth mentioning Matt went out of his way to connect with me regarding a ride to the dealership having lost my car to a confrontation with a deer days prior. Generosity like this speaks volumes. Finally in all my years of buying automobiles, Matt & Leo had me in a new car within 60hrs. of purchase. Wow! Amazing team effort. Words like courteous, kind and efficient come to mind. A shout-out to the entire team for delivering Great Work! I can't end a review without speaking of reception, the gateway to all great teams.
