I financed a 2015 RVR 4 months ago through new wave and liked it but it was just too compact for my family. I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but my experience with New Wave Auto has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I first saw the car online back in June and reached but my experience with New Wave Auto has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I first saw the car online back in June and reached out to show interest. I signed paperwork multiple times, but didn’t actually receive the car until August — already a red flag. The car was advertised as coming with a 2-year MVI and a fresh oil change, but when I finally got it, the MVI was only 1 year, and just two weeks into driving, the oil change light came on. I contacted the dealership to ask for proof an oil change had been done — no proof provided. I brought it to a trusted garage, and sure enough, the oil was extremely dirty. They confirmed it hadn’t been changed at all. On top of that, the car came with a missing fog light, something you’d expect would have been fixed before delivery. Since owning it, I’ve broken down twice in the past three weeks. The first breakdown was because a coolant hose was missing, and now I’m stuck again — possibly a starter or transmission issue. I’ve had this car less than a year. For the amount of time, patience, and money I’ve put into this car, this is unacceptable. I was sold a vehicle that clearly wasn’t properly inspected or prepared, and it’s become a money pit almost immediately. I expected better, and something needs to be done about this. More
