H Leroy, Manager of the Nanaimo Toyota Service Department, provides outstanding service. He is courteous, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. He patiently answered my questions and gave me some very useful input, making me feel that I was Toyota's most valuable client. As well, on each occasion when I've taken my 2014 Yaris in for its standard servicing, I've had superlative service. Leroy is to be highly congratulated for having such fine staff who represent Nanaimo Toyota in such an exemplary manner. Jo S, October 6, 2016 More
Beware of Nanaimo Toyota Service I paid extra when I purchased my 2013 Toyota Tacoma to cover the oil and filter changes. Every time I have been told my filters are dirty even tho I I paid extra when I purchased my 2013 Toyota Tacoma to cover the oil and filter changes. Every time I have been told my filters are dirty even tho I am never on dirt roads and don't smoke they told me the cab filter on the first visit was dirty. Always trying to charge for rotating tires and got me the first time because I didn't tell them.. Last time in I had to tell them again ......No I Have Winter Tires On Now when I change them soon they will be rotated next winter.......Almost got me again. Always topping up my Green Capped Nitrogen filled tires with compressed air....Again my fault for not saying. Also on the second service it was a Saturday and when I went straight home had a big round dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel. I went back to complain and they had someone come and suction cup out the dent with no charge to me.....But what is going on in there on Saturday..Have always serviced on week days since. From day one the truck washing at the end of service is a joke...I used to complain but have given up. All they do is smear the dirt around in some places and leave the rest then hose everything down so you can't see the mess till it's all dry. This last visit with Advisor Steve Dunn is the worst of all trying to charge for service and I still had two remaining from my coverage. After getting that straightened out and removed then another service charge of $140.00 I ask what is this for....Almost got me again (Tire Rotation) now that charge is removed .....OK I sign the paper and leave. Two hours later I get a call from Steve and he says my battery is completely shot and it will be $220.00 for a new one and of course I need a new engine filter again. I told Steve just put it all back that I just changed the filter and he said well it's dirty again. Also told sorry your battery warranty just ran out. I paid my $133.62 for their Brake Service and took my half washed truck home again. Now the thing that pushed me to seek out this site and report this after returning home and looking in my manual it says 36 Months / 60,000 and I am at 48,957 and don't hit 36 Months till September so why are they trying to charge me for a new battery. Very corrupt place.....Beware More
Rude head salesman (Rick Faganello) My husband and I went into the dealership with a plan to buy a Toyota RAV4 (2015). The sales man we got was really pleasant and friendly. However, he My husband and I went into the dealership with a plan to buy a Toyota RAV4 (2015). The sales man we got was really pleasant and friendly. However, he said he had to talk to his manager (Rick Faganello ) before he could okay the price. His manager left us waiting while he went to eat cookies, then talked to everyone on the sales floor. When he came into the room he was very rude and didn't take us seriously (we both look very young). Because of this we ended up going to the Toyota in Duncan and buying a RAV4 from them. They were incredibly friendly, made us feel like valued customers, and gave us a great deal. I would not recommend Nanaimo Toyota to anyone and I will be taking my SUV to Duncan to be serviced even though it is 45 minutes away. More

Good luck with Leroy and your warranty I bought a truck from this dealership that came with a dealer installed 3inch lift. Which I was assured would be covered under the warranty and the EC I bought a truck from this dealership that came with a dealer installed 3inch lift. Which I was assured would be covered under the warranty and the ECP I purchased. 1 year, 60,000km(I drive a ton) later I finally noticed that there was an install error with the lift. I had gone into several dealerships concerning this problem, but it took me going and checking out other trucks and comparing to discover the problem for myself. When I took it into a dealership in the east kootaneys they finally confirmed the problem and proceeded to fix it provided Nanaimo Toyota would pay for it. Well not only would Leroy, Assistant service manager at Nanaimo Toyota deny any wrong doing on their part, he would also not pay the other dealer, and would continue to blame the problem on my driving. Even after I contacted the manufacturer of the lift and passed on the installation procedure onto Leroy, he would still deny any fault. Well 5 months later and 70,000km on the clock I find that the box of the truck is coming loose due to the nature of the composite material used. In leu of a dealer anywhere close to where I live I had to fix it myself. But within a week I was back at Nanaimo Toyota getting some fluids changed and my brakes looked at along with the box issue. Within the hour of leaving the dealer I got a call from Leroy telling me that the ECP I purchased nor the standard warranty would cover the box falling off the truck and that any work to be done I would have to pay. In my response I questioned why it would not be covered considering that the truck is not even two years old. Leroy's response to that was not only insulting but somewhat of a lie or an embellishment. Then he proceed to kick my truck to the curb and not service it at all. I do believe in the right to provide service or deny it, but when someone spends $40,000 plus and is denied service, there has got to be something wrong here. Especially after two warranty issues that he copped out on. I have and will continue to dissuade people from Toyota and Nanaimo Toyota after all this. More
Fun and easy Thanks to everyone at Nanaimo Toyota for the great service and friendly positive attitudes. I bought a Toyota Tacoma and the team at Nanaimo Toyota ma Thanks to everyone at Nanaimo Toyota for the great service and friendly positive attitudes. I bought a Toyota Tacoma and the team at Nanaimo Toyota made a fairly complicated purchase and trade very smooth and easy. From the salesman Rick to the parts department and Dave in the service department we were able to get exact prices on all the parts I was after and with some help from Colleen in the finance office I was able to pick up my new truck in just a few days. This is a great atmosphere for doing business and they should be rewarded for they're conduct. More

We are very particular buyers and we were extremely impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and the quality of service that we received from the test drives, to the purchase to picking up the vehicle. They were very knowledgeable about their product and at no time was there any pressure to purchase. We are now proud owners of a 2014 Toyota Venza and we will recommend others to this dealership. I went to buy out my lease on Saturday and as usual when I have to visit this dealer, the experience was a disaster. The '90 minute max' appt to do the paperwork and safety check was pushed because they on I have to visit this dealer, the experience was a disaster. The '90 minute max' appt to do the paperwork and safety check was pushed because they only had one mechanic, and anyway, the service dept told me it was never going to be 90 minutes, it always takes way longer. The business office guy, Mike, was very offhand when I arrived and later, the ICBC rep complained that he hadn't completed the paperwork he was legally obliged to fill out, and that she shouldn't have to babysit the dealers like this. Then the shuttle driver didn't show up to pick us up and take us back to the dealership as arranged. The 90 minutes I was promised on the phone turned into 4 and a half hours, and I got stuck with a $20 taxi bill as well as a ruined Saturday. The taxi driver and I swapped horror stories as he had dealt with them in the past. Given the $25000+ I've spent at this dealership over the past four years, you'd think someone might say "thank you", but this didn't happen, even when I handed over my cheque for $9000 to pay off the car. On several occasions tho, over the past few months, both Mike and another guy (Aaron?) told me they wouldn't or couldn't do things (like show me a Prius instead of the Corolla they were desperate to push, or take a personal cheque or credit card) because they "wouldn't make any money" out of it. Upshot - nothing wrong with my Toyota car, but the Nanaimo Toyota dealership is toxic. There are of course a few nice, polite, helpful people on staff, but they can't make up for the overall awfulness of this outfit. I am very very very sorry I made the mistake of leasing a car from them in the first place, and the only happy ending here is that I never have to go back there again. More
