Used car manager is either uninformed or a crook! Used car manager is either extremely uninformed or simply a crook! I tried buying my fourth Jeep from my salesman Gary Seeger. He has always been help Used car manager is either extremely uninformed or simply a crook! I tried buying my fourth Jeep from my salesman Gary Seeger. He has always been helpful and patient putting together our sales in the past. This would have been the fourth Jeep I purchased from him and Motor City Chrysler. He went through the order for us. We were all set to place an order. The only thing left was to evaluate our trade in. We told Gary we were looking for about $38,000 to $40,000 for the trade. We had researched the trade in value extensively and were comfortable there. We then met the used car manager and got fed the usual hokey line "unfortunately interest in your car is at an all time low right now, we can only give you $30,000." He didn't take into account the fact it was a special edition nor the upgrades that were done. Totally low balled the trade and destroyed the deal for Gary. Then was bold enough to say "bring it back in the spring and I'll give you $35,000. (Thanks but, no thanks....) So we decided to wait until we weren't so upside down on the loan to make a trade and get my wife's dream Jeep. Fast forward three weeks later and my wife sees the Jeep she wants to order, in stock, at another dealership. We're talking one of three in ALL OF CANADA and the only one in Ontario. So we inquire about purchasing it. They put the deal together in one day and offered us $38,000 for the trade. Sight unseen! No negotiation needed. For the exact same trade in vehicle! Needless to say we bought it! My wife is now the happy new owner of a 2018 Sting Gray Wrangler JL Rubicon! Unfortunately for Gary! I'll never buy a vehicle from Motor City Chrysler again. The experience left me totally pissed. Ironically I had thought they were a few thousand low on my last trade in vehicle as well! But I figured "I'm a regular customer.... They surely mustn't be trying to screw me over." Apparently I was wrong! My advice is shop around. This definitely isn't the dealership for you If you have a trade in. Sorry, not sorry....but you lost my business. Only wish I could have given you Zero stars! More
