Wanted to pay cash for a vehicle seems like they were not interested only wanted to push on financing and then charged over $2,000 in random fees . $700 extra for paying cash , $700 for admin which is basica interested only wanted to push on financing and then charged over $2,000 in random fees . $700 extra for paying cash , $700 for admin which is basically them filling out a bill of sale as no other paper work would be done . Some random fee for tires and rim . Quite ridiculous. Wouldn’t recommend especially for customer service from Matt Carter. Car with tax should have come to $13,**** they said over $15,**** . Support smaller used car companies these big ones are really in it to rip u off and only care about making lots of money More
I am very disappointed in my recent experience attempting to buy a car at Moncton Honda. My wife and I decided we would like to buy a summer fun car (convertible) and have been looking. We found a nice pre to buy a car at Moncton Honda. My wife and I decided we would like to buy a summer fun car (convertible) and have been looking. We found a nice pre owned VW Beetle convertible at MH and called about it. We were connected to salesman Jean-Marc who answered some questions and was going to take a picture of the convertible roof and send to us but then contacted us advising there was snow on it so he would have it ready for us tomorrow. We booked an appointment for Saturday afternoon to attend Moncton Honda to see the car and advised Jean-Marc we were very interested. We drove the hour and a half to MH only to discover the car was still outside with snow on it. (I should point out that there the entire service area of this very large garage was completely void of cars and would have expected the car to have been in over night to be ready for our appointment to view to purchase) I was taken back that the salesman had obviously not spent any time familiarizing himself with the car nor was comfortable with it's operations (didn't know how to operate the roof, didn't know the car required a minimum -10 temp to operated the roof (* again, should have been in overnight). Getting past the initial disappointment of the salesman's short comings we press on. We took the car for a drive and really liked it. Returned to MH with the intent to purchase the car for cash. We made what we believed to be a very reasonable offer based on life experiences i.e cash purchase...no trade to deal with and were shut down. Long story short Moncton Honda seems to us as a finance company who's hook is cars. They are only interested in selling you a car if they hook you with finance charges. There's some mumbo jumbo about finance discount of $700, then there was "then give us %90 down and finance the rest"?????? the price of the car went UP if you didn't finance! Their business ethics are deplorable, the customer service was very poor and maybe if the sales manager spent as much time teaching his sales people how to prepare and present a product to the customers instead of forcing financing on them, they would sell more cars and have a better reputation. It's a shame a company as well run as Honda with such amazing products and a wonderful reputation allows these mopes to fly their flag. Wewon't be back. Shame on you Moncton Honda. ***Since you don't enable people to respond to your false reply I had to edit. As for the text, it came in while we were driving the hour and a half to the dealership. I explained that to Jean-Marc when we got there. I don't text and drive! The car is listed for $19998.00 We offered 18,500 + tax and license then adjusted to 19,000 plus tax and licence...so I don't understand new math but 19,998/18500 is 1498 difference and 19998/19,000 is 998 certainly not 2700. Even adding the 700 discount to push us into financing, that still only makes the car $20,698. We were never offered a straight purchase...we were advised to put %90 down and finance %10 (the hook) You sell financing and throw a car in. Response from the owner16 hours ago Hi Bob, We are sorry to hear of your recent experience and how unhappy you are. We looked into your concern with Jean Marc and he explained that he had attempted to reach out to confirm you were coming for your appointment via text prior to placing the vehicle inside. He did not hear back so did not place the vehicle inside. We have explained to him that although there wasn’t a response the proper thing to do here would be placing the vehicle inside in the hopes that the appointment was still arriving as scheduled. Our apologies for the vehicle not being prepared for your arrival. As for the pricing issues your offer was $2700 off the retail price with no fees and while you may feel this to be a reasonable offer, in todays market of pre-owned vehicles and the shortages of acquiring them that offer is beyond our ability to meet with you on. As for our $700 finance credit, it is clearly stated on all of our online advertising this is in place and that vehicles are priced as such. We did offer you the vehicle at retail price if you were to pay cash, which would be removing the $700 that we would typically increase the price if someone was to pay cash. We regret that your experience did not meet expectations in dealings with us and hope you are able to find the vehicle and dealer that best suits your needs. If we can be of any assistance in the future feel free to reach out. More
My parents came in Moncton to shop for a car. Was snooping around the cars NO ONE ever came at us for help. So I went inside talk to a guy. Came outside and as soon as I said I was looking for a used snooping around the cars NO ONE ever came at us for help. So I went inside talk to a guy. Came outside and as soon as I said I was looking for a used car he went back inside. I WENT BACK inside and there was a guy doing absolutely nothing. I ask him if i could have some info on a car and he respond to me THERE IS NO TEST DRIVE NOW ITS TOO LATE. I didn’t needed a test drive since i owned the same car. We still went to his desk. I told him my parents was not from the area, are not the best in english and need the car by tomorrow. He said well i do not work tomorrow can you come friday. I was like no like I said we need the car tomorrow. He still made us an appointment we didn’t even want. I contacted the support chat in the evening and ask to change my appointment for the next day and I needed someone who speaks french. A guy repond super quickly and made us an appointment at 10 in the morning. Went there at 9:50. Told the receptionist i had and appointment with that guy and she gave me a weird look. She went in the back and came back to tell me he is overbooked and cant see us today BUT the guy who wasn’t supose to be working was there!!! I said i SPECIFICALLY ASK for someone in french and she didn’t know what to do. The guy who wasn’t supose to be there came to us and told me “I just came into work just for you guys”. That guy was actually at his desk with 2 other clients…. It was super awkward since we didn’t needed his work since my parents don’t understand a word from him… Finally the receptionist found us someone french. All the time after we felt super bad for the other employee. We left there with a beautiful HRV. Our seller was amazing and finance guy super experienced. But our service prior to that was xxxx. More
They don’t provide a good service and they don’t make you feel appreciated as a customer. I have always loved Honda’s but this dealership is so awful, I will look for another dealer for my futur purchases. feel appreciated as a customer. I have always loved Honda’s but this dealership is so awful, I will look for another dealer for my futur purchases. They don’t pay attention to details either. I will never recommend them to any of my family or friends. Examples: I paid for a service they couldn’t fulfill and they don’t care when you bring it up to them. They basically called me a liar when I had facts to support it. They didn’t call me back after asking for a call back. This isn’t a good company to deal with in my opinion. They are so big and probably don’t care. More

Got my car serviced for what was supposed to be a day and a half so It was not long enough fot them to give me a car in the meantime. It ended up being 3 days :( My 4 year old civic had rust. It was appr a half so It was not long enough fot them to give me a car in the meantime. It ended up being 3 days :( My 4 year old civic had rust. It was approved to get fixed no charge. I asked to fix a scratch on the bumper ( my fault ) at the same time. No problem it will cost you 300$ plus tax. Pick up my car they charged me 285$ tax in. I was like wow cheaper than expected. To find out they didn’t fix my bumper at all and charge me to fix a tiny dent that was barely noticeable on the trunk while fixing the rust. Never advised me. More
Not an honest car dealer . Ripped off newcomers during this pandemic. Be careful with the finance office guys. They will add undisclosed ridiculous fees and warranties without your consent. Beware the quoted price is not the final price I looked at a number of used vehicles. Test drove several. We decided on one vehicle. Sat down to discuss the price. The salesman said the price w I looked at a number of used vehicles. Test drove several. We decided on one vehicle. Sat down to discuss the price. The salesman said the price was $28,000. We said that was good as that was what we had budgeted. We talked to the Finance person since it was Saturday at closing time he indicated he would get back to us with the final amount on Monday. I was in a meeting when he called but said the loan was going to be $30,271.92. I simply wrote the numbers down without much thought. I guess I should have thought more about the numbers. The vehicle was delivered to us in PEI. The person with the forms told us this is where we initial and sign. The details of the breakdown were never shown to us. It was later we discover that on top of the $28,000 we are also charged: $2728.00 for an extended warranty $799 for the rust inhibitor $250 for the tire warranty $200 for the license fee $179 for the registration fee When we told the salesman that $28,000 was our budget and that the number he gave us was perfect, he should have told us oh by the way... then we could have decided that maybe we could look at a less expensive vehicle. By the way another Honda Dealership explicitly told us the price on the road. So to have the Moncton Honda dealership give a low number and add almost an additional 25% to the price of the vehicle tells me their saleman have been told NOT to include the full number. It has been a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this dealership at all. More
Had my car for 3 months , have had sooo many issues including engine overheating on hwy , had to get towed in and get Thermostat Housing replaced, yes they did get me in quickly and fix my issue that d including engine overheating on hwy , had to get towed in and get Thermostat Housing replaced, yes they did get me in quickly and fix my issue that day however this should not be happening . And Moncton Honda Service says every time something goes wrong with this car is well you bought a used car, hello I'm paying $20,000 for this used car :( I have had nothing but problems with this car in the three months that I have owned it has cost me so much , now that I have had so many problems with this car I am afraid to drive it a long distance , I wish I would have bought privately would have been approx 15 thousand of dollars cheaper and less problems might have actually had a vehicle that lasted me and was reliable , I just really wish I didn't go to Moncton Honda to purchase a car , it is now my regret :( I really do not believe this car is going to last me without costing me thousands of dollars in repairs.
