Overpriced Incompetence would be a severe understatement to describe my experience with Mercedes Benz Brampton. After going to MB Brampton: I am left with a car I cannot register. A repair bill of over 1500$ A rental car which I have to cover on my own, minimum $500+. Weeks of delay to be able to put the car on the road and use it. Here's how all that came to fruition. I found a Mercedes that I was looking to purchase from a private seller. Since I live in Montreal and the car was located in Toronto, I called Mercedes Benz Brampton to schedule at my own cost a thorough inspection of the vehicle. I of course mentioned I am from Montreal and I would like to have the car inspected in order to make sure there is nothing wrong with it before making the trip to see it in person and potentially make the purchase. I was told that the inspection would cost 250-300$ plus tax and they would be able to do it, I would pay by phone and receive the inspection report by email / phone call. Everyone was very courteous and nice up until this point. I received a video where the mechanic who checked the car told me everything was spotless, not one issue found, I was of course super happy. The invoice arrived by email and it was 462$ tax included. Pretty big difference from what I was initially told, so I did ask the service advisor why such a difference and he said that this is the price for this type of inspection, pretty unsatisfactory reasoning, but I was soo happy the car was in such good shape I let it go. I bought the car, got a plate transfer that would be valid until July 8th, drove it back to Montreal (arrived with no issues). A few days later I had my appointment on July7th for the obligatory provincial pre-registry inspection (this inspection is by no means a super in-depth verification, just a safety check to make sure the car is safe to be on the road). INSPECTION RESULTS: Oil pan and transmission pan are riddled with rust and spray painted black to hide it Front lower control arms left and right need to be changed Front left and right wheel bearings need to be changed All 4 air-valves on the wheels are cracked (I could have had a flat tire anytime on my 600km journey back to MTL) The mechanic was kind enough to bring me in the garage and show me all these issues, which I also have a report of. Due to these findings the car does not pass inspection and cannot be registered Total for these repairs (not including oil and tranny pan replacement) $ 1 581.50 (quoted from a non Mercedes garage that I've used in the past, obviously this quote would be much higher at a MB dealer garage) On top of which I need to rent a car at my own cost to be able to work I have to reschedule the inspection and pay an extra fee for reinspection. I have to tow the car at my own cost (as the transfer plate expired on July 8th ) to the garage to fix it and then from the garage to the inspection place. What's funny is the Service manager at MB Brampton, William Dedora is his name - Here is his proposed solution ( ---We will refund 50% of the inspection fee (which was already inflated by 100$ for no reason) as the car passes as is to be registered in Ontario. WHAT a JOKE I am currently in contact with Mercedes-Benz Canada, hopefully they can help rectify this situation. I will update this review as everything continues to unfold. Btw Karan Chitnis was the service advisor I dealt with Peter Cummings was the person who check the car itself or so I was told) Leah Simeon is the Director of client experience (I've been in contact with her) and I have to say she seems to be the only one that wants to find a solution and sympathizes with the position I'm in right now. Please due yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere so you don't have to risk being in an unpleasant situation. More

I was interested in leasing a C43 convertible from MB Brampton but was refused service because I am a resident of Quebec. I spoke to Mercedes Benz Canada which confirmed to me that it is not a policy of Brampton but was refused service because I am a resident of Quebec. I spoke to Mercedes Benz Canada which confirmed to me that it is not a policy of theirs, but rather that of the franchise. They explained that the actions of the dealership were its own and shouldn’t be considered as a decision from them. Mercedes Benz Canada suggested I speak to the General Manager. After confronting the general manager, Andrew Lennox, about the situation, he reiterated that it was his decision and that he created that policy. He didn’t want to explain why nor did he empathise. I asked him for a written copy of that policy to be sent for me by email which he refused to give and hung up on me. Mercedes Benz Brampton is discriminating against a consumer on the basis of his attribute, which is residing in Quebec which goes against the Discriminatory Business Practice Act and the Consumer Protection Act. I will be taking the judicial route. This is unacceptable behavior by a General Manager... last I checked, Quebec is still part of Canada. More

Dropped my car off at 8.50 am , at 10am the service advisor called to say we have to do a diagnostic check on why the CD player work, then a diagnostic check as to why the trunk self closure won’t work, and it would be $179 for each check, I said if you are doing a diagnostic check on the electrical system all faults eoukd show on the check, was told no you pay for 2 checks,he then told me I will call you around 1.30pm to let you know what we found, he then proceeded to tell me he was calling from his personal phone and I could get a hold of him at any time,3.50pm no calls from him, called on left 3 messages no call back, left text message again no response, then I called the dealership service department told them about no response, was I told the line I will find out what is happening, come back telling me the advisor is really busy but he will call you, 5.10pm still no call so I called him again , this time he answered , asked him why he had not returned my calls or text, he apologized saying we are short staffed and very busy , I asked what is the status of my vehicle , he told me your car is old so it does not have a bunch of computers we have to do a manual check, I then him you haven’t looked at it yet, his response yes that’s correct but I will get back to you tomorrow by 10am, will wait and see if I get a call, my car is a SL500, 2003 with only 55,000km. I should add l live about 40km from the dealership so I don’t qualify for a shuttle ride, I was in Brampton on other business so I stopped by the dealership to make a appointment for these 2 issues, was told by a advisor no you can’t make an appointment here you have to call in, I told him Im here in person why can’t I make an appointment , sorry can’t help you ,you need to call. The other times I have taken my vehicle there the advisors and staff were first class and very professional and I would recommend the dealership to everyone, after this experience would tell everyone stay clear. They dont deserve any STARS but I am FORCED to give single star otherwise I can't submit this review. No planning and no Customer Centricity. I had very poor experience with them. I went there for se single star otherwise I can't submit this review. No planning and no Customer Centricity. I had very poor experience with them. I went there for servicing of my Brand new GLC. They kept my vehicle whole day and did not do any service and asked me to keep the vehicle for 3 days with them. In fact, I doubt their intentions. Although, I was following with them throughout the day, I was told service is under process. They have a great Value & Vision Statements with words like RESPECT, TRANSPERENCY but just good on the wall to advertise to customers, no implementation in reality. I will not recommend them. More
