Crooks These people are a bunch of crooks. Bought a 2015 escape and paid 27,000 for it.Found an add in the Toronto sun, same vehicle, 3,000$ cheaper. Talker These people are a bunch of crooks. Bought a 2015 escape and paid 27,000 for it.Found an add in the Toronto sun, same vehicle, 3,000$ cheaper. Talker to a salesperson who preceded to throw us out of the dealership. This was unjustified as we were only questioning the price, and the salesperson accused U.S. Of yelling at her. We were not yelling. More
Good used truck experience I needed a truck in a hurry to replace my 2003 Tundra ( stay away from those if any are left on the road!) that died. Meadowvale had a good selection I needed a truck in a hurry to replace my 2003 Tundra ( stay away from those if any are left on the road!) that died. Meadowvale had a good selection on-line with competitive prices. The dealership is a bit of a mess due to construction but after I took a walk around the lot I went in and was quickly served by Jay. I outlined my requirements and Jay quickly got the keys for three possibilities. I looked them over and took one out for a test drive. After some brief price negotiation I purchased the truck. Jay promised a quick turnaround on cleaning, servicing and registering the vehicle and it was ready in three days (which is what it took me to get the $ arranged). Overall I think the dealership (and Jay) offers a good, straightforward, no frills used car experience. As with any dealership make sure you ask all the detail questions and get their response in writing. One caution is with their web site. A month after I purchased my truck I noticed they still had it listed in their web site. Could be disappointing if you make the trip and find the advertised model isn't available. Call and make sure. 2010 Ford Fusion. First Ford I've ever owned, purchased used from a dealer in Brampton Feb 2011. Service engine light came on at 60,400 km. Bumper to bumber warranty expires at 60,000km. Took to Meadowv used from a dealer in Brampton Feb 2011. Service engine light came on at 60,400 km. Bumper to bumber warranty expires at 60,000km. Took to Meadowvale Ford because they are local. Was my second visit to this dealer (major scheduled maintenance conducted here earlier the same month - cost me $430+tax) Service advisor (Santino) very polite and professional. He told me there was discretion on km overage but needed Service Manager approval. Left my contact info for service manager but did not receive a call. I followed up 2 days later (on a Friday) but Service Manager not available, booked an appt for Mon morn and parked the car for the weekend. Finally met Service Manager on the Monday (Drew) but he would not budge. Discussed the matter standing in the service lobby in front of other customers, would not offer me a seat in his office (we were 2 steps away from it). He claimed he had no discretion whatsoever and was bound by Ford Canada. Told me he wasn't willing to bend because I didn't purchase from his dealership and I did not have an adequate service history with them. Claimed to need to take pics of odometer for the service record and send them to Ford and he didn't want to get into trouble with head office. Insisted that I would have to pay for any diagnostic and repair. After some persistance on my part he agreed to hook it up to the computer, and ran a diagnostic out in the parking lot. Produced a code but was inconclusive. Told me he needed to perform a smoke test that costs $200+ and any repairs would be extra. After more fruitless pleading with him, he gave me Ford Canada customer service number. In short, they didn't budge either, siding with the dealer. I really don't get this... my first Ford, therefore no possible chance of having any service history or ability to build a relationship with dealership. Only 400km over warranty, with a potential major repair and not an inch of consideration to back their product. I've since taken care of the issue through some personal connections - no thanks to Drew at Meadowvale, no thanks to Ford. The car is up for sale. This is the last Ford I will ever own. More
