My used Subaru came with a 10,000 km warranty. When I picked it up, the odometer said just over 63,000. The warranty should have lasted to 73,000. My guess is that this was the mileage on the car when it was traded-in to the dealership. My theory is that someone working there "borrowed" the vehicle off the lot. I'd have to say that 7,000 km is a big borrow. The other alternatives are careless work or outright fraud. While I bear some responsibility for failing to check that the documents matched the actual reading, I would warn about placing too much trust in their organization. More
