Brian made the sales experience memorable I purchased my first Subaru vehicle yesterday and must commend the excellent treatment received from Marino's Fine Cars. On a whim, my husband and I I purchased my first Subaru vehicle yesterday and must commend the excellent treatment received from Marino's Fine Cars. On a whim, my husband and I went to the dealership late in the evening just to see what a Forester looked like up close since I was considering buying one. Brian approached us casually and asked if we wanted any help. He offered us the keys and left us alone to check out the vehicle. He was adamant that we take our time and he'd answer any questions. He didn't come across as someone trying to push a sale but someone who could help us find out more about the vehicle. On our way home, I commented to my husband how Brian left a great impression because he was so friendly and not trying to talk us into buying something right away as many sales people do. I went into another Subaru dealership the following day (simply because it was close to my work and it had the model Forester I wanted to really see). Immediately, a salesman was overly eager to convince me I should make a purchase today. He was pushy and obnoxious. I contacted Brian the following day and asked if I could meet with him again that weekend regarding the Forester. He remembered my husband and I and we met up that Saturday. Our second meeting was even more enjoyable. Brian talks to you like a friend versus a salesman. He shares stories and relates to things you have in common with him. And he has a good sense of humour. His personality made me want to buy my vehicle from Marino's. I've dealt with several car dealerships in the past and have never felt this comfortable buying a vehicle (and this is my 5th vehicle purchase). Brian helped worked out a reasonable agreement. His manager, Francesco, came by and was also very friendly. His family was there which made the atmosphere in the dealership even more appealing. Francesco wasn't intimidating or pushy either. He came across as a sincerely kind man as well. When the "final" agreement was signed, I left there feeling really happy about my new vehicle and that I purchased it from such a genuinely nice dealership. With past vehicle purchases, I always felt like the salesman/dealership was deceitful in some way or tricked me into agreeing to less than I wanted. Marino's FIne Cars was a totally different experience. There ended up being a problem with the colour scheme I chose. When I contacted Brian about it, he was so apologetic and he and Francesco quickly made arrangements to resolve the issue. Brian always encouraged me to make sure I was happy with what I was ordering. He had said, "Buying a new car should be the most pleasant experience." He definitely made every effort to make it so. Most impressive, he always remembered and pronounced my name properly which very few people do. Our neighbours are considering buying a Subaru vehicle. I was be highly recommending they see Brian at Marino's Fine Cars. More
Brian Izdebski - Best Sales Rep Ever To Whom it May Concern, My experience with Marino's Fine Cars... from the beginning. I originally had bought a (new) 2011 Sonata from another deal To Whom it May Concern, My experience with Marino's Fine Cars... from the beginning. I originally had bought a (new) 2011 Sonata from another dealership and when I had moved to Etobicoke, I found it delightful that there was a service centre so close to me. I had my car in at Marinos for the service 4 pack - included new brake ect... Left the dealership just had problems. Went back, told them about it, said they wouldn't have time to work on it this week, being concerned, took my car into a service centre near my work. They said it seemed like xxxxxxx worked on my car and couldn't believe that it was done at a certified Hyundai dealership. That said, I went back to Marinos and asked if they would compensate me for the service charge, nothing happened, never went back... UNTIL! Years later (2014), I became interested in purchasing a Subaru. I didn't really know what I wanted to do, trade in my Sonata or just keep it. "What the heck", why not just go into the nearest Subaru and take one for a test drive. Went into Marino's, met Brian and he just had a very calming effect over the whole process. He figured out a way to make it work for me... He answered all my questions, even when I was unsure at 12:30 at night!!! We had built up a friendship and to me that is priceless! There was no xxxxxxxx / no hidden stuff / no pushiness, I had felt like I was invited into there (not team) but family at Marino's Subaru. So a few weeks ago, I left with my 2014 Outback blk/blk Limited 2.5 very happy. Since then, I still return to the dealership to say hi to my friends at Subaru! More
Brian was great to work with. He helped arrange a test drive for the Subaru 2010 Outback I wanted to see, even on his day off. And when I came in to show my wife the car he had all the information we need drive for the Subaru 2010 Outback I wanted to see, even on his day off. And when I came in to show my wife the car he had all the information we needed. My wife thought the car was great - but that the interior was a bit messy. When we made the deal, Brian promised to have it properly detailed. When I went to pick it up, it looked brand new. He is clearly a car enthusiast and had lots of advice for us. My wife and I buy and hold our cars for a long time. We wanted to get another Subaru because of its reliability. Brian helped us get the car we wanted at the price we wanted. Anyone looking for a Subaru in the GTA, I would recommend they contact Brian. More
Summary: Really good experience, Fair Pricing, Great representative People usually rate online when they have had a marginally bad to super bad experience or a really good one. For me its definitely th representative People usually rate online when they have had a marginally bad to super bad experience or a really good one. For me its definitely the case of the latter. I just purchased a 2014 Forester after doing a ton (possibly way more than necessary) research into types of vehicles and everything to do with the short list of cars. I test drove a short list of vehicles and converged on the Forester. I feel like this information is relevant because it informed the evaluation of my experience. I communicated and went in a bunch of Subaru dealerships before I settled on Marino's Fine Cars. (On a side note as I told Brian, I think the name doesn't serve the dealership well because at first I was confused of this was a bonafide Subaru dealership - which it is). What's good for those shopping around is that it houses Hyundai and Honda so you can shop around between the three makes very easily. By the time I got there I had already chosen the Subaru so I never took advantage of that and can't comment on the interaction between the respective dealers. I dealt exclusively with Brian Izdebski. He's a engaging, friendly and professional. I believe that different people work better with different dealers; its a matter of finding that works for you. In the context of selling cars Brian is not pushy or overbearing; mind you he still has a job to do. I personally had a great experience and am happy with the price and negotiations as well as the rest of the transaction; picking up the car, leaving my trade-in etc. So long and short of it is that I recommend the dealer and Brian to anyone who is buying a Subaru car. Serious failure with the car when the owners' manual suggests you do NOT drive a car if this particular issue occurs. Upon the recommendation from a former dealership I've dealt with,I call Marino. From suggests you do NOT drive a car if this particular issue occurs. Upon the recommendation from a former dealership I've dealt with,I call Marino. From the customer relations to John the service adviser / sales person according to the website if it's his surname,I was left wondering if the word "customer"meant something? Service department was ONE person on my first visit, where John who lacked interpersonal skills at best was present to deal with me.Funny thing,a service tech.who did a quick review of my serious failure was so personable! Since the car would need to stay over night to allow their tech.to take a day to diagnose, and repair the issue,I needed a loaner.John said there's a rental company he can have bring me a car,but there's no loaner for non Marino purchased cars. Fantastic,I am now driving a dangerous vehicle back home where I make some calls just out of curiousity. Contacted Richmond Hill Subaru, and Downtown Subaru to see if they offered loaners before setting ANY service appointment.Well, both dealerships didn't care if you bought a car from them, and if warranted, would give you a loaner! WHY wouldn't any dealership offer a loaner if a car's in warranty when service is the bread and butter of their business. A car is likely the second largest investment for many, be careful who you spend your time, and money with. From personal experience, their "mandate" isn't indoctrinated among the employees I've encountered : " Experience for yourself the difference a family-run business with a commitment to customer satisfaction can make" More
