I went to MacMaster for a trusted and reliable dealer. I was willing to pay a bit extra to have the peace of mind for a CPO vehicle and good customer service. When I received my 2018 Colorado it was not detailed and 1 day later a check engine light came on for a cam shaft solenoid. Later I would find out when remote starting the truck the touchscreen would begin to ghost touch. I messaged the salesperson about this and they sent me a YouTube link to troubleshoot. About 6 weeks after owning the truck the radiator fan would not shut off when the ignition was off. This would yield another check engine light and repair for a thermostat replacement. At this point I learned that the salesperson I dealt with is no longer with MacMaster and really unsure who is willing to help on the customer service side. Once again the check engine light is triggered and another service appointment booked. I have owned this truck for 2 months and have had 3 check engine lights. Worst experience at a dealership. We thought we were being punked. My daughter made an appointment online to come the next day and test drive a specific vehicle she was interested in, We thought we were being punked. We arrived on time but the woman at the front desk knew nothing about it and went to ask someone else. It was obvious when they returned that they were scrambling to find someone to handle the situation. Eventually we were brought into an office and spoke to Ryan and explained why we had come (in 2 separate vehicles, each travelling 30’ to get there for this appointment). He took my daughter’s license to copy before test driving then eventually came back to his computer to tell us he couldn’t find the vehicle, it probably sold that morning. He then suggested other demo vehicles that she could test drive and left to get keys for those, eventually came back to say that employees were out with those. There was another vehicle but a trim level higher than what we came to see - he for some reason wasn’t receptive to us test driving that. So he left again and was gone so long we honestly thought he had gone for lunch. We walked around the showroom when someone else, thinking we were not assigned to a rep, asked to help us. We asked him to please locate Ryan as we just wanted the license back and we were leaving. At this point we’d been there almost an hour and had not seen the vehicle we had the appointment to test drive, nor any other vehicle for that matter, nor had we had an discussion about options, numbers, likes/dislikes etc. Ryan came into the showroom, handed back the license and said nothing. No apology, no ‘have a nice day’, nothing. Disgusting treatment. A horrible experience for someone’s first dealership visit for her first car. Fortunately she went on to visit two others that day and had great experiences and ended up purchasing a car with a smile on her face. More
