Frozen truck While travelling from Alberta to Manitoba on Dec 26th for Christmas to see family, our 2015 Ram 1500 ecodiesel froze up. The problems started with the While travelling from Alberta to Manitoba on Dec 26th for Christmas to see family, our 2015 Ram 1500 ecodiesel froze up. The problems started with the DEF, then the air ride suspension, and 3 other warning codes came on before we got to Swift Current. Since it was a holiday everything was closed so we had to stay overnight. Mike set us up with a loaner and recommended a motel and he thought the truck would be repaired by mid morning the following day. This would give us enough time to still make it to our famiy gatherings in MB. It took 2 days to remove the warning codes. Needless to say, we missed our family gatherings and also wasted our vacation time off from work. We were treated very well by Gina Townsend, Mike Erdahl & other staff at Knight Dodge and I believe they did their best to help us. Had they known that it would take 2 days to repair they would have let us take the loaner to Mb. However, we are EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in Chrysler for their lack of research in the DEF and Air Suspension systems that caused this disastrous trip. A solution and a recall to prevent the air suspension from freezing when it gets cold is a must! We live in Canada after all and it gets cold. More
