I was charged for additional items like “shop supplies” ($50), unnecessary tire replacement ($134) when tire rotation was already included in service. Furthermore, the bill indicated an exterior wash, which was never performed. This lack of transparency and communication has caused me to lose trust in the service quality here. I purchased my Kia in 2022 and expected better service and professionalism, but recent experiences have made me reconsider returning to this dealership. For anyone considering service here, I would advise confirming every detail and ensuring clarity on charges beforehand. Unfortunately, my experience has not lived up to the standards expected from a reputable dealership. More

My 2017 sportage (126,000kms) had total engine failure (known engine recall) I had the recal preformed. along with a lose of brakes on the freeway with my kids in the car after having my car towed they were supposed to send info to kia canada which they said they did apparently they lied. 3 weeks go by zero communication no response from them when we call and text. They are trying to screw us and not fix it due to having my father (a retired mechanic) do some oil changes. They know the engine is a problem and yet they won't do what's right! THE WORST. DON'T BUY FROM KIA WEST!!!! More

My recent encounter with Kia West Coquitlam has been nothing short of infuriating. Despite multiple visits and assurances of a resolution, the emergency brake (EBP) and parking brake lights in my Kia Ni nothing short of infuriating. Despite multiple visits and assurances of a resolution, the emergency brake (EBP) and parking brake lights in my Kia Niro have remained illuminated for over 10 months. The excuse of part backorders has become tiresome, as the issue persists without any signs of improvement. The lack of effective communication and the inconvenience caused by this prolonged problem have left me deeply disappointed. As a loyal customer, I expected better service and a timely resolution, but my trust in Kia has been shattered. This experience has not only left me upset but also hesitant to consider Kia for any future purchases. Regrettably, I cannot, in good faith, recommend Kia to others based on my recent ordeal. Additionally, during the course of these ten months, I have visited Kia West Coquitlam six times for the same issue. On one occasion, my car was even kept at the dealership for four days for diagnosis, only to yield no significant progress. Furthermore, during my most recent visit to address this issue, I was informed that the part would be ordered and would take approximately two weeks to arrive. However, after more than three months have passed, I am once again being told today that it will take another two weeks. More
Two salespeople we dealt with were great but when it got to the purchase stage with the managers there was no discussion or chance to ask questions (re: inclusions, etc.), no verbal/written price breakdown to the purchase stage with the managers there was no discussion or chance to ask questions (re: inclusions, etc.), no verbal/written price breakdown provided, they just gave us their 'best price' and expected us to pay it. And....we were buying 3 vehicles! In the end we bought them from another Kia dealer who provided excellent customer service and a better price on all 3. More
As an 82-year-old who recently purchased a new 2023 Kia Sportage from Kia West less than seven months ago, I had simple expectations: reliability, comfort, and responsive service. Unfortunately, my experie Sportage from Kia West less than seven months ago, I had simple expectations: reliability, comfort, and responsive service. Unfortunately, my experience has starkly contrasted with these expectations, prompting me to share my journey and provide insights for others. The vehicle's novelty was quickly overshadowed by a peculiar sound from the engine bay only a few months post-purchase. Initially reassured this was normal for new models, my concerns deepened as the noise persisted—an unprecedented issue in my experience with new vehicles. The situation escalated when it became clear that engine part replacements were necessary—a complex process involving communication with Kia Canada. We were informed the parts request could take 2 to 6 weeks, during which we received regular updates. This open line of communication was a glimmer of hope in an increasingly frustrating situation. However, this hope was short-lived. After securing approval for a rental vehicle—a process that tested my patience—I was informed the repair would only require 1 to 2 days once the vehicle was in the shop. This initially reassuring news sharply contrasted with the later revelation upon arrival that the repairs would actually extend to several weeks. This significant discrepancy between the expected and actual service time led to considerable inconvenience and further disillusionment. The provision of a small temporary vehicle, while initially understandable for a brief repair period, felt inadequate given the extended wait I was facing. At my age, access to a comfortable and convenient vehicle is not just a luxury but a necessity. Attempts to escalate these issues, including reaching out to the General Manager of Kia West, were met with silence, further eroding my trust in their commitment to customer satisfaction. Reflecting on this experience, the initial excitement of owning a new vehicle has been marred by a series of service disappointments and unmet expectations. While the Kia Sportage itself may offer many desirable features, my experience has been significantly tarnished by a lack of transparency and dependable customer service. I share my story as a cautionary tale, underscoring the importance of not only the vehicle's quality but also the integrity of the dealership's service. Based on my experience with Kia West, I regretfully would hesitate to recommend them, a sentiment I express with the hope that others might navigate their purchasing decisions with greater caution.
