Use Caution When Purchasing Used At Kentwood. The process to start was amazing. I had been looking for a while and Larry went above and beyond to show me my vehicle on his day off. I fell in love with the truck and the price. We went for a test drive and I liked it. But I heard a squeal from the breaks. The squeak wasn't horrible "Yet". I thought maybe it was just from sitting, in fact when I bought my previous vehicle it squeaked when brand new. It eventually stopped. I didn't think about it too much during the buying process. When I decided to proceed, my salesman asked me to come in at a certain time and he was busy. no big deal right, I am excited and willing to wait. The purchase is completed. Yes, I opted out of any additional warranties because the mechanical fitness assessment was excellent and I trusted that they would not sell me a vehicle and lie about that. 1 week later the vehicle won't start. I called my finance manager at Kentwood to find out about any initial warranties. He said 30 days over 5000. He said I may be covered for this if it was an alternator or related. My salesman says he will take it to the shop put it on a charger for the day and pick me up at work at the end of the day. He got busy and abandoned me at work. I had to spend money on an Uber. I pick up my truck and he says there is nothing wrong with it and to not leave the AUX on. He made me feel like a stupid woman. I took it home and the next morning it wouldn't start. I pulled the battery out of the truck and took it to a mechanic to test it. It was so so dead. the battery was garbage. The mechanical assessment said it was good. 250.00 later it now starts. amazingly a whole bunch more options work now, so it was dead when I bought it. Shifty. back to the brakes. After driving for almost a month now. the brakes are not getting better, they are getting worse. much worse!!!!! Because of how I was treated, I am scared to go back. I have had several people offer their opinions. From squealers to glazed brakes. All of this was a problem before I bought it. Some crazed service woman yelled at me when I was sent down there by the salesman to have it checked out. Kentwoods mechanic said the brakes are good but the rotters are rusty and should get better with time. they aren't they are getting worse. But the crazed lady went at me like a rabid dog. She was saying that I had to pay and she was going to lose her job and she was far from being nice to a customer. Anyway, Kentwood and the mechanical assessment said the brakes are fine.....I am so incredibly embarrassed to stop my vehicle because of the very very loud noise. The sound of springs or coils pinging is a concern as well. and sometimes even while rolling the brakes sound like they are stuck on. What a horrible experience. I traded in a perfectly good vehicle that was in amazing mechanical shape and well cared for to buy a vehicle that they lied to me about and have yet to correct their mistake. More

Kentwood Ford is a dealership to stay away from. I traded my truck in for a vehicle that is more affordable in payments. The deal I got from Kentwood Ford was shady. I was sold warranty for the new I traded my truck in for a vehicle that is more affordable in payments. The deal I got from Kentwood Ford was shady. I was sold warranty for the new vehicle only to find out three months down the road that the warranty was void on the day the deal was made; which cause so much negative equity in the car loan that the car can not be traded for almost a year. The vehicle is a 2019 and it does not suit my family, we can not use it for a family car when my boyfriend joins us for a family outing and it uses a lot of gas (which drains my tight family budget, and being a single mom that is not good). I had someone working with me on my behalf and when they were talking to staff at Kentwood about the shady deal they put me in, the staff member of Kentwood Ford laughed and thought it was a joke. So I highly recommend people to stay away from Kentwood Ford and go some else. The staff of Kentwood Ford thinks it's a joke when they put someone in a car loan with whole a lot of negative equity and don't want to help the person. I am a single mom who got taken and so now I am telling people to stay away from this dealership, Kentwood Ford. More

Everytime I go to Kentwood I know I’m getting great service. Joe is such a great guy who takes care of you right from the minute you walk in untill your deal is done and even aftert.
