Kamloops Ford Lincoln

My family and I have been dealing with Kamloops Ford Lincoln since they were at their 8th Street location quite a few years ago; mainly buying vehicles from but trading in as well. I am on my third Lincoln SUV since 2012 when I bought my first MKX. I received a call from John two days ago asking if I would like to sell my 2021 Corsair to the Kamloops Ford Lincoln. I said I was not interested as I had low mileage and no issues with my vehicle. Then yesterday a fellow named Norbert called me with basically the same speel. Again, I said I didn't think I wanted to sell my fully loaded Lincoln. I finally got to buy the car I wanted, my DREAM CAR because my partner was out of the picture and I paid for it all by myself. He would always get drunk and say he wanted to take me looking for a new car and we had to buy it TODAY or he would change his mind. I always protested because I'd usually just finished paying the old one off. I never got my way and ended up getting a new vehicle with accompanying payments. So when I started looking into the new vehicles in 2021 with the intention of trading in my 2016 MKX the electric vehicles were all the buzz. I thought of maybe a hybrid but I was glad I never ordered one then as there are always some problems in most vehicles in the first one to two years of manufacturing. But, Norbert was persuasive and convinced me to come in and meet both him and John on Saturday morning, November 23 at 11:00 am to see what they had, and to bring my nice low mileage fully loaded car in. The draw being it's Black Friday Sales Day and there WILL BE SNACKS served. I'm waiting for that Wine, Women and Wrenches Ladies night to be happening soon. I always get invited and it is fun! My housemate never informs me when he buys another vehicle so I don't have to indulge my whereabouts tomorrow. Last time he bought a vehicle, from a friend, and it was nothing but, and still is a MONEY PIT!!! This time a 66 Ford truck. Ok to look at, but I rode in it and would prefer not to repeat that again. He drove me from our house in Westsyde to the shopping centre and I could hardly wait to get home. He complained it had standard steering and it would be better if it had power steering; ya think? Here we go again $$$$$$. So tomorrow I am going to meet with the two Salesmen and I will not be mentioning where and what I am doing. Two can play that game.... As the singer Lesley Gore sings "It's my party, I can cry if I want to." Well it's my money and I can buy what I want to. And Ladies out there beware; listen to that song she also sings: "You don't own me" and you might see similarities in your life. That song was bang on. DO NOT BE COERCED or bullied into buying when you are NOT READY TO BUY. I have the patience of a Saint and if they can't produce what I'm looking for, I WILL WAIT. MY LAST VISIT to Kamloops Ford Lincoln my car was serviced with an oil and filter change, new cabin filter, air filter, wiper blades, and a tires on rims stored there changed over and of course a lovely car wash and a free car wash cupon to boot. When I went to pay the balance not covered on my warranty, it was noted I would need a new set of tires in the spring as one had sidewall damage and the tread would not do another season. When I bought my 2021 Corsair it had 8000 klms on it. Attached to my worksheet, someone had given me a quote that wasn't done by the actual parts fellow, he was on holidays. I brought back the quote another day and told them it was way too high! I thought maybe it included rims .My partner had a BRAIN WAVE and said "in the spring, get the old tires put back on, then drive to a tire store and buy new ones there." Yeah like I have all the time in the world and would be driving with an unsafe tire. Advised by Rick, Jarrod worked out a much better price for me with them bringing the tires my partner wanted ME TO BUY, Falcons. Now I can still do all my shopping in one place and retain the convenience of onsite tire storage! , More
