He didn't just help me find a car—I thought I could never afford—but he also got me the best deal possible. He totally gets the money side of things and made sure I knew what was what… What really surprised me was how he handled my old Honda Civic. Honda people didn't rate it much for trade-in, but Yusuf and Volvo saw its value and gave me a sweet deal. I initially visited just to explore options but ended up leaving with a booked car—Yusuf you really know ur stuff 😊 Yusuf: I cannot thank you enough for staying beyond your Wednesday workday to walk me through the safety features ..car's navigation.. controls and more. You even let me take it for a spin in the area to get comfortable behind the wheel, all after hours. That meant a lot to me. And the best part? I love my new car! Yusuf and the team at Jim Pattison's Volvo exceeded my expectations of a dealership. If you are looking for someone who really listens and goes the extra mile, Yusuf is your guy. If I could give zero, I would, the finance manager Gary is very poor at getting back to his clients. The lack of customer service in that place is horrific. I was asked retain more information to get a loan approved, once I had the information, I contacted him several times, to no avail. I stopped by the dealership to give him the info, only to find out the vehicle I had put a deposit on, they sold. We were in the middle of a deal and they sell the vehicle? xxx.... No wonder he never got back to me. I find this to be a horiphic way to do business. They clearly at this place have no idea what customer service is. I feel Gary did not work hard for me as a brand new client, and gave me none to very little reasoning or time. Shame on you Volvo Surrey for not making it right for a potentially new client. We live in North Vancouver and friends of ours who have bought many volvos from Joseph recommended we make the drive to Surrey. Last year we bought our XC90 and most recently had running boards added throu bought many volvos from Joseph recommended we make the drive to Surrey. Last year we bought our XC90 and most recently had running boards added through dealing with Paul in the service department. I think it speaks volumes that we make the drive to continue with servicing our car at a dealership that is out of our community. Terrible service Worst service ever. Back in December of last year I Tried to book a service appt and no one called me back (left 3 messages day after day) so i went e Worst service ever. Back in December of last year I Tried to book a service appt and no one called me back (left 3 messages day after day) so i went elsewhere. Fast forward one year later and I Had to return my volvo lease and after speaking with finance they would ONLY accept my lease return if I bought another new volvo.. once i told them i bought a different make they hung up on me and never called me back after leaving multiple messages. Cant believe this is how they run a business. Everyone i spoke with was so rude and was only nice if they thought i was buying something! More
Poorest Service experience in decades I booked an appointment to diagnose front end issues on my 1996 Volvo. I arrived on time and they took the car around to the service bays. NINETY (90) I booked an appointment to diagnose front end issues on my 1996 Volvo. I arrived on time and they took the car around to the service bays. NINETY (90) minutes later they hadn't even started on the car. Service "Advisor" said "these things take time, there is a process", but admitted they hadn't even started looking at the car. I guess they were too busy looking after high end customers with their high end cars. I also noted that there was a lot of "high pressure service speak" from the staff on the phones to various customers. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. It was a complete waste of time and I wouldn't trust them any farther than I could throw Jimmy P. More
Topservice by Paul Metry! Paul Metry is a top customer service manager! I was on a trip with a rental Volvo XC60 from Alamo San Francisco - Calofornia. I am a Dutch guy. In La Paul Metry is a top customer service manager! I was on a trip with a rental Volvo XC60 from Alamo San Francisco - Calofornia. I am a Dutch guy. In Langley I saw that the dashboard gave a symbol of malfunction of the engine management. So I looked for a nearby Volvo dealer. I came to Jim Pattison in Surrey. There was that terrific guy named Paul Metry. He arranged the whole telephone conversation with Alamo SF for me so that in the end I could get another car from Alamo in Vancouver. You must know that my English is just enough to buy things in a shop or have a simple conversation. Not able to communicate in proper English. So I am very content that Paul totally free arranged that I could go on further on my holiday trip direction Osoyoosa. I have no problem in giving Paul a 10+ for his outstanding customer friendly behaviour. He is certainly an example of top customer service More
Long distance purchase I drove to Surrey from the Kootenays to purchase a very gently used Volvo XC 60 via Peter Sakamoto at the Surrey Volvo dealership a few days before Ch I drove to Surrey from the Kootenays to purchase a very gently used Volvo XC 60 via Peter Sakamoto at the Surrey Volvo dealership a few days before Christmas. Peter was stellar. Not only did he give me a fair price, he arranged for an insurance agent to be on site for our car swap and he stayed beyond the end of his Saturday workday to demonstrate the car’s navigation, safety and other features. He sent followup emails asking if I had any questions regarding the vehicle. Helpful videos were sent as well. Great customer service. Thanks. Love my new ride. Garbage customer service Closest dealer to me after the dealer I purchased from closed. They damaged my car and then basically said I can't prove it was them, and refused to make it right. Service adviser is useless and GM dismisses everything. Disrespectful and unhelpful. Would never buy here and won't buy another Volvo again. More
Helped us out of a massive jam! Thanks! Here's what happened: We planned to go on a 4k KM road trip of BC with our 2012 Volvo XC60. The car was parked outside the house and I got up early to Here's what happened: We planned to go on a 4k KM road trip of BC with our 2012 Volvo XC60. The car was parked outside the house and I got up early to turn the car around for easier loading. After loading we piled info the car ready to start our trip. However the start button didn't work! Volvo roadside assistance sent a tow truck which jump started the car. We then drove to Surrey Volvo to find out what happened and try and save our two week road trip. Surrey Volvo service was completely booked up but upon hearing our situation the service manager dropped everything to repair our car, even dispatching a car to pick up a new alternator from Surrey to North Vancouver! All in all our road trip was only delayed by a few hours. We have never been treated better by any other car dealership. Thank you! More
