Phil Hines was genuine and made my best interest a priority. He listened to what I wanted and what I could afford and gave me realistic options which I appreciated. He talked to me and not at me (big difference). After four visits of driving various models I finally settled on an Impreza and couldn't be happier. Thanks to Phil and the team for making this a positive experience for me! More

I decided I'd buy locally instead of going to Van or Naniamo. Mistake. I made the call to come in a buy the last model of the car they had. They told me there was a lot of interest and that they easily sell it for asking price. Not knowing the deck was stacked against me. Went ahead and got the car. Don't get me wrongI love the car it's awesome, but to compensate for the price I ended up getting the base model, they made it clear they didn't want to move on the price and help me get the car I really wanted. I will be searching around more next time, so I don't get taken advantage of. More
DIrty and illegal sales I bought a new subaru forester on June 29. They didn‘t have stock at that time. I picked Ice Siliver Metallic colour. They orderd for me. I have already signed the temporary substitute vehicle agreement. My vehicle trade-in price was $15000. Then..... I was waiting and waiting. I always call to ask about my forester. Four months later, on October 24, they called me to pick up. I felt very very happy as I waited for four months. On October 26, I went to pick up my vehicle. The sales manager Colin Gawreletz told me my old vehicle trade-in price only worth for $10000. Canadian black book showed this price now. After that he said to give me $12000. It was ridicuious. How can they turned down the agreement. I don‘t think they should follow the Canadian black book that the day I pick up the vehicle. It was not fair and they are cheating. No one told me that four months later your old vehicle will went down $3000. It was not my fault. I wanted a vehicle right away, but you didn‘t have vehicle to give me. I waited four months and got that result. I think this way to sale cars is dirty and illegal. I think it will be my last Subaru and I will tell my friends avoid Victoria Subaru. More
My first Subaru We just picked up our 2017 Subaru Forester this week. Normally i dislike dealing for a new vehicle but this time it was a real pleasure. Our salesma We just picked up our 2017 Subaru Forester this week. Normally i dislike dealing for a new vehicle but this time it was a real pleasure. Our salesman was Bob Gardner and he couldn't do enough for us, from listening to what we wanted to spending the time to show us how everything worked. From ordering what we wanted to finally driving off the lot we were ably assisted. The finance manager John Duthier was also great to deal with as he never pressured us into anything we didn't want to purchase. Both John and Bob arranged for an insurance agent to complete the whole procedure and get us back on the road and happily on our way. More
My Review Just purchased a 2017 WRX, first new car purchase in my life and I couldn't be happier. Let's skip the car review, as we all know it's as powerful as it is sexy. I can't say enough good things about the sales person Phil Hines and his manager Colin. It all started when I walked in on a Sunday about 2 months ago. They were short staffed and loaded with customers, however Phil fit me in on the fly and let me test drive a WRX within 10 minutes of walking in. I absolutely loved the car and at the time owned a Honda Civic. After having my car appraised by the dealership, it was clear that I would get more return by selling it privately opposed to trading it in. Without any pressure to trade in my car or buy the WRX, Phil offered to wash and vacuum my Civic for free to help me sell it privately. Sure enough, as promised, I arrived the following day and he delivered on his promise, again without any sales pressure. Over the course of 2 months, I endeavored to sell my civic. Phil kept in touch, though I'm pretty sure I contacted him far more than he did me, to ensure he still had a WRX in stock! I finally sold my car and was ready to purchase a WRX. I promptly contact Phil to arrange to come in, however again it was very last minute on my part (due to shear excitement to get out of a civic and into a WRX). Nonetheless, I was well accommodated and he got the ball rolling. I wasn't able to pick up the vehicle right away and was rather busy that weekend so the transaction had to wait until Monday. Phil and Colin helped me out yet again by giving me a loaner car for a couple days free of charge until I could come in and sign over the WRX. I will be writing a formal commendation to both Jim Pattison and Subaru Canada, as this is the customer experience and sales model they should aspire to have throughout the organization. What more can I say other than I am impressed and will be referring friends, family and colleagues to Jim Pattison Victoria Subaru. More
