Left oil cap off after oil change My wife took her new Forester in for first service. We found oil stains in our carport a few days later. Bought oil degreaser to clean off carport My wife took her new Forester in for first service. We found oil stains in our carport a few days later. Bought oil degreaser to clean off carport and more oil stains. Opened the hood and found that the oil cap was left beside the open filler tube. Oil had splashed out, over engine bay then dripped down. Had to take the car in again for another appointment to have the engine cleaned. Fortunately this was discovered before the engine ran out of oil. I would say they cleaned 90% of it. Car is not new anymore. Wife phoned service manager about this and he said "What do you want". Was told that we can get refund for our degreaser if we come down with receipt. No apologies for the time and trouble of bringing car in again and cleaning the carport three times. This is not the place you go for service. More

Surprisingly this is not true of all automobile salespeople. In addition to being knowledgable we found him personable and straightforward,no surprises or hardsell.Good people do make a difference. We have had good experiences with the service and parts people as well. No buyers remorse! Rick Horsley More

Brakes were perfect going in and failed on a mountain road right after. Whoooops - Service tech stripped the nipple and didn't test the vehicle afterward. Every drop of fluid leaked out. BTW - brake fluid only costs $5.99 at LORDCO. A complete rip off with their markup, and zero service recovery or accountability for their major screw up. Signing off as LUCKY TO BE ALIVE. More

What a horrible car buying experience. The dealership lacks product knowledge and I've been treated very badly considering I just bought a new car and did not haggle or cause a fuss. The s The dealership lacks product knowledge and I've been treated very badly considering I just bought a new car and did not haggle or cause a fuss. The sales manager feels comfortabble enough to yell over you rather than letting you make a point and today, when I called to be nice he yelled at me again. I asked him if this was his idea of how to deal with a customer, he told me he didn't want me to embarrass myself by finishing my statement. Wow! As a professional myself with many years of car buying in my past, I've never been treated so badly. More
I just bought my first Subaru, a 2012 Impreza, from Specialty Subaru ... and the first car purchase I've done for 25 years (I probably have a world record for running a Chrysler minivan). The sales per Specialty Subaru ... and the first car purchase I've done for 25 years (I probably have a world record for running a Chrysler minivan). The sales person (Marek) accompanied me on an excellent test drive on the twisty, steep (and wet) hills of North Vancouver where I pushed the car hard, with no complaints from Mark (I think he was amused) and none from the car either (it sticks like glue to slippery roads). I did my research re pricing before sitting down with Mark to "negotiate". This went very smoothly from my perspective. The Impreza is a popular car so I got less than I would have liked (who doesn't), but I got a whole lot more car for the price than the best alternative (and the price was reasonable). I am well satisfied. I came back the next day and the car (with a full tank of gas) was ready to go. The turnover was very smooth and, indeed, fun (I stayed around and chatted awhile with the different staff). p.s. Yesterday (a week after purchase), I decided that I needed roof racks and some other accessories. Specialty Subaru came through excellently ... both with a discount AND no service charge for installation.. Bottom line ... I love my new Subaru and I very much look forward to continuing my relationship with Specialty Subaru. More
