I was pleased with the interest rate I rec 2 days ago I've purchased a 2015 BMW X3 with 63,000km 2 days before everything shut down for Covid-19. I was pleased with the interest rate I received and I love the vehicle but thaaaats it!!!!! After having the car for 2-3 weeks I noticed the car had emissions coming from the exhaust pipe. I reached out to Janex to explain my problem. During this time I started going over the details of my warranty that I thought was part of the sale price of the vehicle. As it turned out the warranty cost me $2000. I was never told I'd be paying for the warranty! I began to look over the bill of sale and noticed I had been charged 1699+tax on the price of the vehicle. When I brought this to the attention of Janex I was told they did not make a mistake. Good thing I had taken a screen shot of the sale price of the vehicle or so I thought. After I sent Janex a picture of the screen shot, I received an email telling me there was no date on the screen shot and they wouldn't reimburse the $1699+tax unless, and I quote " We have the information regarding vehicle pricing and would be glad to give it out if the proper governing body asks for it" or something along those lines. Scott Davis was my sales representative. While dealing with him he was unable to keep his composure and had returned a couple of emails using caps lock and even apologizing admitting he was upset. I find it very disrespectful and unprofessional considering I am the one who should be upset after being ripped off! I've also been threaten by Marcus Knight if I left a bad review regarding Janex or any of there employees it would not be tolerated and he would do everything is his power to make things right...?? Whatever that means! (Don't forget Marcus I'm not lying and have all the proof) ********UPDATE********* AFTER LEAVING THIS REVIEW I'VE BEEN THREATENED AGAIN THIS TIME BY THE OWNER. I WAS TOLD IF I LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW HE WOULD SUE ME!!! ****SORRY SAVCHO I ONLY SPEAK THE TRUTH!! UNLIKE LIKE YOUR STAFF*** GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BUSINESS I've been going back and forth with Janex on these matters to no avail! I'm in the process of dealing with BBB, I've made a partial complaint with OMVIC and I'll be starting an application tomorrow with Small Claims court as I am extremely frustrated! I DO NOT RECOMMEND JANEX AUTOMOTIVE! They're completely unprofessional, they've lied many times and my BMW still has exhaust issues. I do have other concerns which I may bring up in the near future. Becareful dealing with Janex!!! Don't sign anything without bringing home the paper work, reading it very carefully as they might take that to their advantage! I hope this helps someone who may make the same mistakes that I have. Good luck! P.S. I find it really odd that a lot of the 5 star google reviews only have 1 review! That should send off red flags for any buyer! More

Easy, Pleasant Purchasing Experience I purchased a 2016 VW Tiguan from Janex in late 2019. Jan made the process extremely easy. He stayed after hours to allow us to test drive the vehic I purchased a 2016 VW Tiguan from Janex in late 2019. Jan made the process extremely easy. He stayed after hours to allow us to test drive the vehicle and to negotiate the sale - the amount he paid for my trade in was very fair. He promised to have the vehicle cleaned and the safety inspection completed by the following Saturday and delivered on time. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was pleased to discover that an oil change had been done and new brakes installed as part of the safety inspection (approximate value of $1,000 at no extra charge to me). Jan contacted Hunt Club VW to confirm the factory warranty that remained on the vehicle and also let me know it had been serviced regularly at Myers VW (which I confirmed). I am very pleased with this vehicle and the service I received at Janex. Ironically enough, I purchased my previous vehicle from a certified Toyota dealership eight years earlier, thinking that purchasing from a Toyota dealership would somehow provide additional guarantee on the shape of the car I was buying. That was a mistake. The sales person was misleading on several counts and talked down to me because I am female. Even though the vehicle never had major issues, I was unsatisfied with it because the heat shield was defective and this issue was not addressed at the time of sale, even though I'd pointed it out. I highly recommend Janex and will be back when it is time for another vehicle. More

Worst Customer Service Possible Save yourself some time, money and dignity and shop somewhere else. Bought a car for my brother and paid the asking price for Winter tires. Other than that they installed the cheapest quality winter tires (Kaspen Tires), according to them they lost the all season tires which were installed on the car. Kept making different excuses and promises for few days and then straight forward denial and then stopped responding at all. Worst customer service experience witnessed so far in Canada. More

From the beginning, I am told if there is anything wrong with the car and was always pointed to the cars that are in exceptional condition. You people need to understand that these are used cars, not new. It is possible to have issues with them. If you want a problem-free car, just buy a new one. After all, it is your fault choosing the cheap-xxx car, not the dealer's fault. As with everything, you get what you paid for. In conclusion, I research the car, talk to the dealer about the condition of the vehicle and I buy the right vehicle. My new car is 2016 Lexus NX and over the last 15 years, I bought Audi A8, Audi A6 Allroad, Jetta TDI, Lexus IS250 from them. More

BUYERS BEWARE AVOID AT ALL COST They promise you the world, and imply that they go above the industry standard....far from the truth. After I put my initial deposit, we had set a delivery date to coincide with the sale of my vehicle. Come delivery day, the car was not prepared, and they blamed me for asking them to fix a dent. They knew about this dent the time I had given the deposit, yet there was no follow up on their part. Come delivery day, I had asked them for the inspection report (they claim 200 point inspection), and what was done to the car for safety. They did not have it, but had a total as to what was done. I asked them to send me a copy of the report, and nothing has been sent yet even after following up with an employee. When doing the walk around on the vehicle, the headlight was out. This should have been done in the "inspection and safety". I had to bring it to their garage to have it replaced. The dent they had "fixed" looks worse than before, with inconsistent paint. The "detail" of the vehicle was brutal, and left dirty rag marks all over the dash. Within a month the flange in the exhaust came off already. I tried to call them twice, they answered and hung up without even speaking. The car claims to have no accidents, but I'm having my doubts at this point. This is the worst service you can get in Ottawa. They're out to rob you of your time and money. UPDATE Car was serviced by a reliable professional mechanic. The car didn't have the oil changed, was low on coolant, and low on power steering. In addition to this, the car was involved in an accident, opposite as to what was advertised by Janex. Had they done a "200 point inspection" they would have known. DO NOT BUY A VECHICLE FROM JANEX. More
