Excellent I have bought a few trucks from Ford and always with Dave. One year I decided to purchase something different than a Ford. However this was a major I have bought a few trucks from Ford and always with Dave. One year I decided to purchase something different than a Ford. However this was a major mistake and I was left in the cold. I went back to Dave and Ford let them no the issue with the car. I don't buy the car... I buy the dealership and their people As someone who sold cars when he was a lot younger, I approach the purchase of a vehicle with an absolute lack of passion. I don't even like cars muc As someone who sold cars when he was a lot younger, I approach the purchase of a vehicle with an absolute lack of passion. I don't even like cars much. If you asked me, I couldn't tell you anything about the cars I drive except if they are comfortable, reliable, have a decent radio and, now that I am a lot older, easy to get into. Now, while I don't care much about cars... I am a typical grumpy old man when it comes to service. I don't buy the car... I buy the dealership and the people representing them. When I first started looking for a new vehicle I approached the purchase with a total lack of interest. After experiencing the old style selling of dealers in Victoria I happened to go on line and ended up on what was then the Ken Evans Ford web site. I sent an information that I wanted a new truck. I didn't care about anything except I wanted a four door model. I seem to recall, it was the next day and Edie Lange phoned me to come up to Duncan and pick up my truck. She introduced me to Dave Faithful and after I had chatted about my attitude toward car buying, Dave took my current truck for appraisal and then they flopped the paperwork on the desk and I signed. The insurance agent showed up and joined the gathering and I signed again. Dave put the plates on the new truck, walked me out, handed me the keys and that was that. I'm on my fourth vehicle from what is now Island Ford. They have a nice new location, with a nice new building but still have a lot of good old attitude. I still don't know what I will drive away with when I change vehicles, I only know it will come from Island Ford and that Edie and Dave will do the leg work for me and I will still follow their advise. I'll spend more time socializing and having coffee than working on a deal... you can do that when you deal with people you trust. As an old guy, I have an insurance policy specifically to handle the car issue when I'm not around anymore and my son has to take over. It is all set up for him to call Edie and Dave and they will take care of him as they have me. I like the small town attitude with the big city capability... I like the hands on presence of Bernadette... I like the place and suggest to anyone considering a new car or truck to give them a try... you can't go wrong. More

I was looking for a all in price for a specific vehicle and was given the best price over the phone. When I arrived I was thrilled with the truck and the lack of new car games so many other sales people at other dealerships had pulled during my search. There was no plus this and that just a price I was told on the phone subject to my approval of the truck. Dave never put any pressure on me to finalize the deal and seemed more concerned with me being a well informed customer than a sale right then and there. I have recommended him to friends and my wife and I bought a second vehicle from him two years later and the experience was equally awesome. We purchased our 2012 Fusion SEL from Bryan Flynn in 2012 and was greeted by Bryan when we walked into the showroom with a handshake and huge smile and "how are ya buddy?" Put us at ease a little more. Our salesman this time was Chris Tarala. He must have picked up some of Bryan's trates, we felt very comforatable right off the bat. We were able to get a deal we were very happy with on a 2014 Edge SEL. I guess maybe we were looking for a new vehicle. John Dewar took care of the insurance end of the deal and was able to give us better coverage for less money.Edie Lange and Bernadette Scudder put together the financing and finalized the deal. Would we recommend Is. Ford, in a heart beat!!! Everything about this place is so customer friendly, from sales to service. Truly a winning team :)))) More

Based on my previous dealings with Dave, I never considered buying a vehicle anywhere else. When our family needed a new vehicle, we knew Dave was the only person we wanted to help us. I still recall the first vehicle I purchased from Dave in 2001. I've always trusted that Dave possesses the knowledge, professionalism and integrity that will ensure that I will purchase the best vehicle for me and my family. At the time of our most recent purchase, my family was residing in Sayward, four hours north of Duncan. We could've easily driven to Steven Marshall Ford in Campbell River and purchased a similar vehicle. Despite the convenience of Campbell River, at no time did we ever consider buying a vehicle, from anyone, other then Dave. Dave took the time to correspond with me prior to my purchase and made himself available based on my family's schedule. The entire process of purchasing the vehicle was positive and stress free. Dave has always taken care of my family and taken a genuine interest in how we are doing. I have recommended Dave to many of friends and associates and I know that many have had very similar positive experiences. I will never buy a vehicle from anyone else, as long as Dave's in the business. It's not about price or convenience. It's about buying a vehicle from someone you TRUST and RESPECT. I've been asked many times why I don't shop around for vehicles and I respond by telling people about Dave. I can't properly articulate why Dave's the best because there's so many reasons.
