Terrible … The first visit to Infiniti of windsor. . I had went in for recall work.. they told me it was a belt tensioner... and nothing more.. after the recall work I kept smelling what I thought was . I had went in for recall work.. they told me it was a belt tensioner... and nothing more.. after the recall work I kept smelling what I thought was burning oil.. re did the valve cover gasket's.. but still had smoke coming from under the hood... I then ran into clutch issues.. the car wasn't going into gear... wich was strange because it was a new clutch..I had tried bleeding it myself many times and thought it needed a power bleeder to be hooked up.. told the service technician that the power bleed it a must! their master technician took at look at it.. and tried to tell me it was related to my clutch pedal assembly... a worn spring in the pedal...I'm sorry but that doesn't even make sense!! Also they never did what i asked! No power bleed... he gave it back to me with more air in the clutch line then when I had dropped it off...at a different garage I found it was an over greased clutch install that led to grease on the flywheel and pressure plates...so clearly their master technician was a major waste of my time and money...being frustrated with the Infiniti dealership I said never again...a few months later when I was checking my oil that I noticed it was the belt for the ac compressor.. it had been wearing against the tensioner pulley brace... like the belt wasn't installed correctly.. being frustrated with them I was reluctant to go back .. but I thought .. this is their mistake.. not mine.. they should pay for this.$$ so I decided to try them one more time.. give them a clean slate... Once again i am ripped of by Infiniti of windsor… I’m so tired of not being able to trust anyone… this time I go to them because I had a belt burning off ( was not installed correctly… The first thing that happened was I walked in the door and asked him to look up the recall work that had been done to my vehicle the previous year… because I was never told anything more then a belt tensioner issue… I even specifically asked if he meant a belt under the hood or a seatbelt… he just once again said it was a belt tensioner issue… so I brought him out to the service bay to look at my issue.. showed him the belt and how it was literally 80% burnt off because it was wearing on the tensioner pulley brace… He then told me that he can’t just replace the belt that he hast to have a service technician look at it and verify that it was their fault… So it’s pretty safe for me to assume that the recall work was related to the burnt belt under my hood… otherwise why would he have said all those things… after waiting for an hour he comes up to me and says The belt was installed properly… that it was just normal wear and tear… what! normal wear and tear doesn’t include when belts create smoke and burn black marks into steel … that’s called improperly installed… then he finally tells me that the recall issue that I had dealt with the previous year was actually related to a seatbelt tensioner he didn’t wanna tell me that until after he got an hour of diagnosis out of me… The whole reason I went in there was because I thought it was related to the recall work …. And the very first thing I did when I walked in the door was trying to verify that information …now I get charged almost $100 and fuel there and back… You'd think that when I was showing him the belt under the hood pointing out the tensioner pulley brace and how it's clearly been worn by the belt. That he would of immediately told me the recall work wasn't related to that .. that it was seatbelt related... but no.. not until after he charged me for 1 he diagnosis... terrible! More
I love my infinit and only came to the dealership to get work done on my tires. The work was good but the overall experience was pretty unprofessional. The guy I dealt with was friendly but did not call to work done on my tires. The work was good but the overall experience was pretty unprofessional. The guy I dealt with was friendly but did not call to inform me that my car would take a whole week instead of the promised 3 days. I also found it really difficult to navigate the infiniti/Nissan dealership since infiniti had so few employees but the Nissan employees weren't particularly helpful because my car is an infiniti. The work I received was good, but the overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional, in my opinion. More
