OVER-PROMISE & UNDER-DELIVER This is the experience with Hyundai St-Constant in every department. I purchased a 2025 electric model top-of-the-line with all features and options Sept 2024 Sales Our sal Hyundai St-Constant in every department. I purchased a 2025 electric model top-of-the-line with all features and options Sept 2024 Sales Our salesman promised many things that were not reality. 1. Minimum loss of range in the winter (our range dropped 25% in our first winter). 2. Charging available free of charge at ANY Hyundai dealer in North America (every dealer I have been to will charge the car IF you have a service department appointment with an RFID card) (I did find a Ford dealer in Massachusetts who provided free charging) 3. Many charging stations across the US (extremely difficult to find and often not working- Quebec has the best public charging system by far) 4. Michelin winter tires promised when I paid a premium- they were going to put General or Bridgestone but I fought for Michelins and they reluctantly provided them. Delivery service of new vehicle 1. Understandably very busy orientating people to their new cars but because this was my first electric vehicle, the orientation for me was rushed and many features overlooked. 2. Installation of BlueLink included in the purchase, but the service was down when we received orientation so we had to do it on our own. Multitude of problems accomplishing that since the system is unreliable. System completely unavailable for 3 months from November to January (not the dealer’s fault) 3. Purchased the 3M coating for stone chip damage. Partially installed and had to wait 3 weeks for the installer to return and finish the job. Service Department 1. Required service interval at 12,000 km (Price $95). They did not even put the car on the computer. Did a visual check and assured me that the car was “like new”. D’Uh 2. Pointed out a problem with a warning system alert but they forgot to put it on the work order. I had come in to pick up the car because it was “finished” but had to return home and wait another half a day. Service guy forgot to put the warning system check on the work order, so the mechanic did nothing. The warning starts pinging as soon as you start the car. 3. Promised that every car that comes in for service gets washed. Not happening. Service guy said it was seasonal and available only certain times of the year (not sure when) 4. Brought the car in to finish the 3M job. They washed HALF the hood where they were doing the installation. Bottom line Although they tell me I am the only one who complains, I think it unlikely that I am the only one who has experienced this kind of shoddy, half-baked work ethic. I purchased from Hyundai because my cousin told me that the service at his dealer in Terrebonne was excellent. That certainly does not apply to Hyundai St-Constant. More
The service at the garage was awful I bought a ne Elantra 2020, my transmission and motor was giving me problem they say they would change both. They did not change my transmission.
