Excellent purchase experience I recently bought a 2018 Atlas at this dealership. I had no connections to anyone who works there so I randomly ended up dealing with Stacey Wright. I recently bought a 2018 Atlas at this dealership. I had no connections to anyone who works there so I randomly ended up dealing with Stacey Wright. I’m a knowledgeable purchaser that is informed about pricing margins, equipment, add-on options/packages, and sales tactics. I’m confident and will never hesitate to walk away or haggle for an extra week if need be. I’m not a jerk when I negotiate, and I like to find a fair middle ground for both the salesperson and myself. We both have bills to pay. However, I have found that I have had to be extremely firm and fend off constant shady sales tactics when negotiating purchases from the various dealers in in Prince George over the years. For example, the last time I bought a truck from another dealership, the deal took two visits and about ten lengthy phone calls to close, lasting about a week in total. How many people would have caved in long before that and accepted an unfairly inflated price? Dealing with Stacey Wright at this VW dealership was a breath of fresh air in comparison. She was honest, she offered a reasonable price, and she didn’t aggressively push particular options/packages that I feel are unnecessary and unduly expensive. I know sales people are required to push these options/packages because they are quite profitable but I think a trustworthy salesperson will do their duty (offer them) but won’t disrespect their customer by convincing them that they are needed or will save them buckets of money down the line. I never give my opinion to a salesperson about these options/packages. Instead I use them as a litmus test to see if the salesperson is a straight shooter. Stacey passed with flying colours. It allowed me to feel confident about an additional option I did end up purchasing and the answers she provided to other questions I had. Did I get the absolute lowest price I could have gotten on this Atlas? I’m pretty sure I didn’t. Did I walk away feeling like I got a fair price with good advice on other elements of the purchase that will significantly impact what I expect to be ten years of ownership of this vehicle? Definitely. To me, that’s the better deal because I’d rather be confident and secure with my purchase options long-term, than to haggle for an extra $800. I’ve negotiated four vehicle purchases in Prince George to date and this is the first time that I’ve willingly let a significant margin slide. I really enjoyed the purchasing experience with Stacey and felt like she deserved it. This was further confirmed to me when she gave the “send-off vehicle tour” of the Atlas after we closed the deal and I was about to drive off the lot. I was truly impressed with her knowledge of this new model and attention to communicating important details. She’s clearly done her homework and is invested in her job. I would recommend Stacey to every kind of buyer. She’s fair, honest, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to deal with. More
