***BUYER BEWARE*** Worst experience dealing with a dealership in 25 years. I purchased a NEW 2020 Honda FIT from Honda STE-ROSE thru salesman Carl. Very nice person! Carl thank you for your pleasant dealings. I realize this isn't your fault. I was told the vehicle has 400+ kilometer and those kilometers accumulated were from test drives. Fine, acceptable. I didn't haggle with the price. Purchased the car over the phone. Fast forward to the date of pick up. Paperwork signed, I walk out to drive the 600km home to Ontario. Sigh, the whole passenger door was scratched. You could see it from 20 feet away. The damage was light enough that my detailer could polish it out. The rest of the car looked perfect...SO I THOUGHT! Fast forward 48 hours. I booked a ceramic coat with a local detailer and I get a call 2 hours after dropping it off. "Sir, we can't ceramic coat this car in the condition it is in. We removed the wax/polish and I'm sorry to tell you the paint is in terrible shape" Now, remember 400km and this is a brand new car as per the title. Turns out Honda STE-ROSE covered it up with wax/polish. I'm now out $1700 to correct 95% of the paints issues with the exception of the Roof, rear bumper and passenger doors sills. To re-painted the remaining damaged areas is another $1800+. Can't trust anyone anymore. It sure makes you wonder why the call dealship's steal-erships The owner Luc DOES NOT CARE about YOU. He's only interested in the sale and refuses to acknowledge your existence. Judge for yourself photo's avail. Would you be happy spending 28K+ having to spent money to fix a brand new car. Talk about unprofessional! **From the Detail Shop: Removed heavy scratches from complete car. additional time spent on rear drivers side door, rear bumper and roof. Roof could not be properly corrected due to previous improper attempts by others to remove contaminants. due to this, the contaminants are permanently bonded to the paint. Only way to fix the roof surface is to repaint** **Response from the Sales Manager (Daniel Bissonnette) "I am the sales manager at Honda Ste-Rose. I am sorry that your vehicle was not prepared to your satisfaction. I have looked at the pictures you sent us with our chief of automotive aesthetic. Knowing that you are from Toronto, it is difficult for us to tell you to bring the vehicle back in so we can correct the problem. One thing is for sure, a 10 hour job is not necessary to correct the problem. Are you planning to come to Montreal soon so we can get a better view of the problem and work towards correcting it"** More
