Loving the car Visited Harris Oceanside Chevrolet Buick GMC Parksville on a Sunday and wahoo it was open!!! you really don't see that too often - that being said Ste Visited Harris Oceanside Chevrolet Buick GMC Parksville on a Sunday and wahoo it was open!!! you really don't see that too often - that being said Steve Austin was great - test drove a vehicle and liked it but wanted to check out a few other dealerships in Nanaimo during the following week to make sure that there wasn't a better deal elsewhere ( hey we are all looking for a deal are we not) - test drove a few others in Nanaimo - checked with Steve to find out what the bottom dollar was and decided that I wasn't going to find a better deal anywhere else so took the plunge and am loving the car and of course the deal. No pressure from Steve and very pleasant to deal with and appreciated the fact that I could test drive the vehicle without the salesman present (not the case in Nanaimo - the salesman comes along for the ride) - makes a difference I think - Thanks Steve I really am enjoying my new car. We reviewed what was available on the lot and Ryan was very knowledgeable in terms what each vehicle had to offer. Once I determined what suited my needs the best, Ryan, I believe pursued the best deal possible involving my trade. There were more expensive units on the lot but Ryan did not try to upsell me which I appreciated. In todays marketplace it's nice to leave a dealership confident that you were treated fairly and not taken advantage of. Believe that happens elsewhere I can assure you. Do NOT purchase from this dealer. First they promised me Do NOT purchase from this dealer. First they promised me a certain amount for my trade in, I asked MANY times for Steve to confirm this and he Do NOT purchase from this dealer. First they promised me a certain amount for my trade in, I asked MANY times for Steve to confirm this and he did....it wasnt until my car was already sitting in their dealership that he then robbed me during my trade in. Then they didn't give a full tank of gas when I purchased, they made it "look" full. Then they lied about my payout on my old jeep when I discovered it wasnt paid out as it should have been. Weeks after my trade in, my old vehicle payment came out of my account. I called my loan company and was told they never paid it. This took a ton of effort on my part and I got a major run around and lies from this dealership. And then the biggest thing: they sold me a 2013 jeep compass with 31xxx kms. I bought an extended warranty and the vehicle also came with one. They gave me no information on the current warranty. I asked my salesman (Harlem) MULTIPLE times over a month to give me information on this warranty, what standard guidelines I needed to follow to keep the warranty valid and when this vehicle last had an oil change. There was no sticker on the window and no warranty package in the vehicle. It took the entire month before Harlem finally told me that this vehicle last had an oil change at 20000 kms. Then I called a different dealership who was actually helpful/ knowledgeable and found out not only was my newly purchased vehicle due for an oil change but was already passed the point of it's required maintenance #3. I dont even know if my warrantly is still valid now and my vehicle is only one year old. They sold me this newer model vehicle knowing full well what it needed. This vehicle had 11000 kms on it since the last oil change or maintenance yet they claimed it had a thorough inspection done. No wonder they gave me such a run around. Oh and when I fought with Harlem about it he said he would pay for it. I sent him a picture of my bill with a text the next day after he said he would pay for it and he didn't even respond to me!!! USE CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING FROM THIS DEALER. They are SCAMMERS and should be ashamed of themselves. I had to drive 2.5 hours to the nearest jeep dealer and pay over $200 for maintenance on a vehicle I barely owned a month. This is absurd and this is only the first of a very long list of complaints I will be publicly posting. DO NOT...I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!! I have more detailed information and receipts for the work I had to do on this vehicle, feel free to contact me for more information if need be. Im sure I am not the only person they have done this to. More
Paula always seems to go above and beyond for myself and her other customers, when I'm in there for service. She is always so great to deal with. She always does her best to make sure our car is in and out her other customers, when I'm in there for service. She is always so great to deal with. She always does her best to make sure our car is in and out in timely fashion, that's because she seems to run non stop. She is so polite and explains how the service was and what you may need for repair. We will only deal with Paula when we are in for service. When I bought my Chevy Truck it did not come with a When I bought my Chevy Truck it did not come with a manual. so I emailed greg asking him to send me one - he said the book is too expensive - mea When I bought my Chevy Truck it did not come with a manual. so I emailed greg asking him to send me one - he said the book is too expensive - meanwhile I just gave him $25,000 - he sent me a electronic link version. -. then I emailed him back reminding him that before I bought the truck he would have given me 10 manuals no problem. so he got back to me - said he would get me one but that it would take 5 weeks. 5 weeks later I get a used GMC manual that he tells me he got from another trade in (how does this solve the problem for the next guy)..... furthermore I have to pay $7.50 at the post office cause Harris payed insufficient postage.
