That was the beginning of a two-month nightmare — not because of the car, but because of this dealership’s refusal to take responsibility for damage they handed me at delivery. I was greeted by Sales Rep Logan, who was juggling me and another customer at the same time — despite me having already finalized payment. He rushed me through the delivery process, knowing I had to catch a ferry. He never mentioned the missing accessories (mats and rain guards), nor did he point out any issues with the car’s finish. When I got home to Vancouver and finally had time to inspect the car properly, I found a white blemish on the rear spoiler and scratches on the door applique. I immediately sent photos to the dealership — same day. A professional detailer removed the hardened film residue but found scratches beneath that could not be repaired, as the spoiler is unpaintable plastic trim. Their response? General Sales Manager Ryan implied the damage may have happened after I left the lot. Not only is that false — I sent time-stamped photos that day — but it’s incredibly disrespectful. Then comes Sales Director Brandyn, who weeks later sent me this actual line in response to my request for help: “Just drive the xxxxxxx car.” You read that right. A customer who spent over $30K was dismissed, blamed, and insulted. I had to contact my local Mazda dealership in Vancouver to get a repair quote, and even that was called “outrageous” by Ryan. They refused to pay, refused to take accountability, and refused to do the right thing — even after multiple follow-ups. I also contacted Mazda Canada, spoke to a rep named Sabrina, who was empathetic — but no resolution has followed. Meanwhile, I’m making financing payments and paying insurance on a car I haven’t even fully driven — and the damage that they delivered is now permanent. Let’s be clear: this wasn’t an accident. It was a failure of inspection, a breach of trust, and a masterclass in avoidance. They will gladly take your money, but the moment something goes wrong — even on their end — they’ll disappear or shift the blame onto you. Future buyers beware: the nice sales tone disappears the moment they need to step up and own a mistake. If you value integrity, honest communication, or customer support — look elsewhere. This dealership has permanently damaged more than just my car. They’ve destroyed my trust in Mazda’s dealership network. More
